Hasn't he been here long enough to not need his trade buddy?

Re: WSH - NJD
I'm saying is he past the point of needing someone else to sign off on his deals?
Re: WSH - NJD
If he has high expectations for a 23 year old ECHLer he isn't a good scout haha. Seems like two guys with no future for one that is highly regarded in the Rangers system.

Everyone makes mistakes. You'll get them next time, dev.
It's not like Graves is a stud.

Yeah.. i don't get trading one of your few actual good prospects for what is essentially junk. A 28 year old who won't play in the NHL and a 23 year old who barely made an impact in the ECHL.

Re: WSH - NJD
Matthew is correct to an extent Graves is a good prospect in shallow system and its not the end of the world, but maybe it is important for Devin to know guys like that are worth more than what Thom had offered generally speaking. I didn't even recall that they were friends but that kinda makes it look worse than it is.
Re: WSH - NJD
Told him to look through my prospects, he liked Campbell and ruopp. Graves is a 4th rounder who is not ranked in top10 from the lists I've seen for ranger prospects . I like him, think he has a shot (granted NYR are idiots). If you want to reverse this deal, I'm honestly happy to go back to the drawing board with devin

#4 prospect and where he was 5 and 6 it was older rankings before a good AHL year where he was an all star in his rookie year. What top 10 list have you seen of Rangers prospects that doesn't include him?
