I think there's a pretty large precedent at this point of big junior players not having offense translate that the fear is warranted, time will tell though.Nick wroteCOLONI believe the current fear of his lack of offensive skills has hit a hilarious level that will be obvious in hindsight.

naw, you move up for Hafinin, he's worth itCasperX22 wroteCOLONNot only that, but I doubt Hextall moves up either. He has been adamant about having as many picks in the first 3 rounds as possible.

No, he doesn't. He belongs more towards the middle of the first round, but somebody will probably take him higher than that. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONi'm with this, Crouse is a fine pick in the 7-11 range. almost every NHL scout has him in the top 11, which is a tier above the rest of the pack.CasperX22 wroteCOLONNo, he doesn't. i just can't see him falling out of that pack.

Again, won't happen. And I suspect it would cost more than that too move that high which is why it definitely wont happen. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONif leafs trade down to that 7+30, i'll agree, they want Zacha or BrazelLee wroteCOLONIt's that we need a center and that the 2 BPA will be centers.

I'd be surprised if he fell out of that range, but he shouldn't go that high. That whole NHL size fetish is alive and strong still among scouts. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONalmost every NHL scout has him in the top 11, which is a tier above the rest of the pack.CasperX22 wroteCOLONNo, he doesn't. Barzal should be the target for the Leafs to be taking in the 3-7 range IMO. Could see him and Nylander being an absolutely dynamic combination. If they could trade down and get him they should absolutely look into that.

Re: Predicting Your 2015 Draft Picks.
this seems to be the same consensus in the hockey world. If the leafs could drop down in the 6-8 range and grab Barzal + more picks and prospects they would. Some people in the Toronto media even believe they have him above Strome and marnerFraser wroteCOLONBarzal should be the best guy for the Leafs to be taking in the 3-7 range IMO. interesting, i predicted Gabriel Carlsson to the flyers at 30. We already have a cross-over on a prediction.CasperX22 wroteCOLONJeremy Bracco 30th overall (Flyers)

Re: Predicting Your 2015 Draft Picks.
He's certainly a good possibility. I expect a heavy USA draft influence with some Euro sprinkled in. I don't think Carlsson makes it to the Flyers. Bracco will probably be there because he will be overlooked due to size. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONinteresting, i predicted Gabriel Carlsson to the flyers at 30. Both are prospects who scouts/hockey experts have all over the place. I've seen Carlsson as high as 13 and as low as 50. I've seen Bracco as high as 17 and as low as 90.CasperX22 wroteCOLONHe's certainly a good possibility. I expect a heavy USA draft influence with some Euro sprinkled in. Re: Predicting Your 2015 Draft Picks.
I've noticed that a lot in general the past two drafts, though maybe because they are just fresh in my memory but seems like guys are flyin off the board 20-30 spots higher than expected and others fall just as far. To me that might be a sign that the general talent level is getting tighter between prospects.
Re: Predicting Your 2015 Draft Picks.
Agreed. Another reason I see Bracco as a more likely candidate is there will be a heavy emphasis on skill, skating, and compete level on the backend for forwards. Hextall is going to want defenders that skate really well and very much involved in the offensive end. Carlsson's skating is a bit wonky from what I've read making him less likely of a candidate. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONBoth are prospects who scouts/hockey experts have all over the place. Re: Predicting Your 2015 Draft Picks.
over the past few days i've taken a few mins and checked out the drafts from 2010-now. and there is a ton of talent coming in the 30-60 picks. I think you're right. Lots of talent and teams just fall in love with a certain player and draft them. Hard to predict guys after pick 20 IMO. 20-50 in this draft will be interesting.Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONI've noticed that a lot in general the past two drafts, though maybe because they are just fresh in my memory but seems like guys are flyin off the board 20-30 spots higher than expected and others fall just as far. From what i've read his skating is awesome for a guy 6'5". the only knock i've read against Carlsson is that he needs to be meaner.CasperX22 wroteCOLON Agreed. It's interesting how different scouts see different things. A lot of it has to do with what part of the season they see these guys in I think. Yeah it's going to get really interesting after all the top guys are gone.
