Solid pick Mik. I had Zacha at #10. Was hoping for someone else to fall to me, but would have happily taken him if you took my guy.

I had Zacha at 7. From a pure talent standpoint he is every bit as talented as Marner whom I had at 3.

Ecstatic to be drafting Barzal. Guy I wanted all year, don't blame you if you think I'm crazy but I had him right up there with Strome and Marner. Didn't think he had a chance of falling to 10 after his coming out at the U18's but I'm thrilled to be getting him here today.

Barzal is good, but he went around where he should have.

fear of lack of offence from Crouse is insanely overblown. People need to remember what he looked like at WJC as a 17 year old. I had no dream of picking him at 9, assumed he was consensus #4-6 even if people were hesitating to say it.

My top 10 was pretty conflicted.

1- McDavid
2 - Eichel
3-7 Strome/Marner/Hanifin/Barzal/Provorov
8 - Rantanen
9 - Crouse
10- Zacha

If push came to shove I probably would have taken Strome, Marner, Hanifin over Barzal or Provorov. But for me theres not much of a gap there.

I wouldn't have taken him earlier than 13 and even then there are prospects I like better. If you pick a guy in the top 10 you want to pick somebody that will potentially be a star. Crouse is a complimentary piece a line completer.

I'd have Crouse higher for BBKL and lower for NHL. That's the thing with this league is it isn't BPA it's BP for the stats we use.

I was happy getting Ratanen with 9 -> can see him going earlier than expected in real draft, but Crouse is the 3rd most likely player to be in the NHL next year, pretty fun grab for me. Key thing to remember is that where someone is drafted doesn't actually change the player.

I'd have Crouse higher for BBKL and lower for NHL. That's the thing with this league is it isn't BPA it's BP for the stats we use.

He has to actually get to the NHL first. He is big and fast and leaves a lot to be desired everywhere else for me. He should be dominating kids as physically mature as he is and he just flat out doesn't.
