came off the bench to fight. I remember when Bert did this as a Canuck, not quite the same loss for PHX lol. Equally dumb on both their behalves though.Big Fun wroteCOLONand...

smart move for shoalzie. Bergs would likely have lost him to waivers, so good for him to at least get something for him.

If this was a lockout-shortened season, I would've cared. Funny that it had to happen last night though.
Re: Trade: DET/NJ
I tweeted him, said I'm trading him and he needs to throw his season.

Re: Trade: DET/NJ
Not sure why no one else was willing to pay a 3rd for a roster player...If I had the cap or a pick (lol) I would have. Aren't certain GMs short roster guys? Good job Shoalzie.
Re: Trade: DET/NJ
Severe lack of interest, kind of shocking. He's nothing special but a roster player @750k for a 3rd. Pretty sweet deal.
Re: Trade: DET/NJ
I agree but its shocking how little depth nhlers go for. anyone over the age of 32 or a bottom line player get no love what so ever. That's why I felt Cliffy did so well getting a 2nd + prospect for Orr.SuperMario wroteCOLONNot sure why no one else was willing to pay a 3rd for a roster player...If I had the cap or a pick (lol) I would have. Re: Trade: DET/NJ
It's how he cannot be counted on for Gp.
Biz could easily be an AHLer from here on out. Hard to pay more than a 3rd for a risk. Once he's safely playing for Phx again a 2nd would be the price I'm sure.

Re: Trade: DET/NJ
I was massacred by my free agents either leaving for Europe or not getting jobs in the NHL...any NHL depth is needed. If I had only one 3rd rounder, I probably don't do it. Instead, I still have 3 more and two of them should be ahead of the Nashville pick...I didn't even give up my best pick in the round. Also, considering how long it takes for a prospect to develop, it's one less guy that I have wait for 3-4 years to even know if they'll make the NHL and I grab a 4th line/13th/14th forward right now. Considering a guy like Asham cost me a 2nd rounder a couple years ago...getting a similar (or less than) guy for a 3rd or 4th rounder seems reasonable.
Re: Trade: DET/NJ
I'd be more than happy to send you some players, but I don't have any either!
