Re: CHI/PIT
Btw, on this Mike Fisher for Brandon Sutter offer (not to single you out at all Mikey) - is it just me but are the only offers that are out there ones where the other GM slightly edges you out unanimously? I seem to be noticing a change. It used to be, lose SHTOI, gain hits for example. Now it's, I'll give you what you are giving me minus just a little bit.
Maybe it's just me though, I realize I have a terrible rep lol.

Perhaps one of those things better left undiscussed.Mike wroteCOLONI don't quite understand the questionSuperMario wroteCOLONBtw, on this Mike Fisher for Brandon Sutter offer (not to single you out at all Mikey) - is it just me but are the only offers that are out there ones where the other GM slightly edges you out unanimously? Not you. Or rather, not just you. There was a time when everyone in BBKL wanted to rape. Give up $1 get $5 (e.g. Scott). Everyone's best offer is now: Give up $4.50 to get $5 and that is as far as GMs are willing to go. Even deals have gone out the window/are very rare.gooker wroteCOLONhe's talking about me mike, dont wry about it
I hope I'm still not considered the worst gm to trade with lol.

I think its just the time of the year Shiv, teams with cap are seeking out bargains at the expense of cap strapped teams IMO.

You might be right actually. It will come back to normal soon enough. With this trade I have 7M in cap room nowSensfanjosh wroteCOLONI think its just the time of the year Shiv, teams with cap are seeking out bargains at the expense of cap strapped teams IMO.

Re: CHI/PIT
Some truth to this. I more see the answer as things are getting stale. People are set in with their teams and certain value for players others dont share. I think what shiv is talking about is a result of people loving their plyyers more than anything else. I dont see it as such a bad thing though, there are just more guys holding onto players these days.Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONI think its just the time of the year Shiv, teams with cap are seeking out bargains at the expense of cap strapped teams IMO.

Re: CHI/PIT
It's fairly easy to see why, at this stage, GMs have players they like & value more the league as a whole does... Many years in, combinaiton of a player performing well for you at keys times, a few moments in a game that stood out for you, and over-all belief in a player.
Lots of variables, but generalizing the whole league as one trading characteristic seems silly to me. Each GM has their own habits and views, for many a player is untradeable until they decide to trade him, at which point its a matter of being in the right place at the right time. For others a player is only his most recent stats (when convienet to take that angle of course), or his most recent injury, or the new role which which change all of that - or just the cap savings... always depends what you're looking at, and when.
I still hold the belief that MOST trades happen when GMs DISAGREE on value, and hence both believe they are getting the better end of the trade. When GMs agree on player value, there needs to be a different reason for the trade.
A group of cry babies gathering around to call each other cheap-assholes just doesn't seem productive to me.
