Re: Detroit Trading Block: Post-Draft
Henrik Tallinder (Cap Hit: $3,375,000) traded to Buffalo and is expected to play with Myers as he did up until '09-10. He's 34 and had some odd injuries while with the Devils but this was his line when he last played with Buffalo (and Myers):
http://bbkl.hockey.cbssports.com/player ... :p/scoring
He's in a contract year...that '09-10 stat line came in a contract year which lead to this most recent deal.
My current top 6:
Ekman-Larsson / Scuderi
Ballard / Tallinder
Komisarek / Whitney (UFA)
Pardy (signed with WPG; depth/AHL)
Guenin (signed with COL; depth/AHL)
Huskins (UFA)
I've got some okay depth...waiting on Whitney to sign and maybe Huskins signs as a 7th/8th guy for a team.
If I was to move Tallinder, I'd like a useful NHL forward and a guy I can use as a #6 defenseman...ideally, I'd like similar salary (or more) in return. I'd still consider Ballard to be the more marketable guy and I expect him to be moved due to the interest I've gotten since he signed with the Wild.

^ Don't see anything in my inbox, Lee...
I have some decent options for Ballard that I'm weighing...chime in if you're interested. I can see doing something with him soon.

Re: Detroit Trading Block: Post-Draft
give the 3 of us a heads up
maybe even use us against each other, dont just decide to accept one of our offers without talking to the other 2 teams.

^ Believe me, I want to bleed all of you dry before I get what I want.
...and Steve drops out.
Ballard will be moved later today...waiting to get a final offer from team #2.
Hagelin signed his new deal today and he's still very cap friendly ($2.25 million per year for 2 years). Any team needing a top 6 forward and he's waiver exempt for one more season...I won't put him on the block immediately but perhaps look for him to be shopped at some point this summer as I figure out my payroll. Moving him might happen when I know I need to some more salary for sure or if I still have holes in the lineup...probably on the wing.
He's going to start the season on IR because of shoulder surgery following the playoffs...but that's where being waiver exempt comes in handy.

Re: Detroit Trading Block: Post-Draft
Mission accomplished on the Ballard front and I even get to keep Mayfield. I probably hang onto him going forward unless I want to do something with Scuderi and I can see him as a nice add to deal for a higher-priced upgrade like I just did with Ballard.
I'm still open to the three remaining trade scenarios in the opening post. Scuderi and maybe even Hagelin could go on the block as we go deeper in the summer.

Re: Detroit Trading Block: Post-Draft
Lee coming strong...problem is that I'm paper thin on the wing once I get past Hagelin and Kopecky. I might only have a few NHL wingers on the roster right now unless some surprise signings occur.
Re: Detroit Trading Block: Post-Draft
Add JT Wyman and post. Has a good chance for 4th line duties on the wing in Colorado.

Re: Detroit Trading Block: Post-Draft
whh the fuck would he trade his best forward for a 36 year old backup goalie.
Pens have already said they are going with Fluery next year.

wish i had an oilers goalie prospect to help ya out with
but all my prospects suck, unless u want Adam Morrison (not the basketball player - the shitty goalie prospect)
i will literally give him to you for future considerations....or a 7th rounder (because trading for future considerations is a no no in the bbkl)

Re: Detroit Trading Block: Post-Draft
The nice thing with the Oilers is that they skip on drafting a goalie for a second straight year although you could tell they wanted Fucale in the 2nd round when Montreal got him and then they traded out of the spot. Dubnyk is in a contract year and the team appears to be better around him...although I thought that last year. He'll either play well and stay with them and get another contract or he falls on his face and he walks and probably becomes someone else's backup and I have to find another starting goalie next summer.
