Leaf fans are nuts. Bozak has slowly evolved into an awesome player for the Leafs. If a #1 C can be had by the Leafs (which is unlikely but let's say there is one e.g. Weiss), the logical player to get rid of is Grabovski, especially at 5.5M. Bozak brings a lot of intangibles at C that are very difficult to replace and his best quality is FOW which will be almost IMPOSSIBLE to replace if we get rid of him. He's in Crosby/Toews/Bergeron territory in FOW.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONi'd take that offer for bozak,,,before he pulls a dom moore, hits UFA, gets overpaid, and sucks at life, only to be never found again.

oh, if we can rid ourselves of Grabo i'd give Bozak 4.5mil every day of the week.SuperMario wroteCOLONLeaf fans are nuts. Bozak has slowly evolved into an awesome player for the Leafs. That said, i dont know how easy it will be to move Grabo, and i doubt they hand him a 18mil cheque in a compliance buyout.
After last nights game (small sample size) i'd say Grabo is replaced by Colborne (whom looked awesome)

Re: Marcus Foligno + Simon Despres for a C
does anyone know if kareem would move mike richards? i could throw a pretty serious package together.

kareem thinks your face looks like a mis-shaped cock, so i'd say no, he probably wont move him.anton wroteCOLONdoes anyone know if kareem would move mike richards? i could throw a pretty serious package together.

Leaf fans already love Grabo. And he could be a huge X-factor for us in the playoffs. Long-term I see us trading him though.anton wroteCOLONgrabo will turn it on in the playoffs and everyone will love him again

Bozak wins alot of draws, the rest of his game is mediocre. I wouldn't dream of moving Grabovski in favour of him, and I am even more opposed to paying Bozak upwards of 3.5 M.SuperMario wroteCOLONLeaf fans are nuts. Grabovski is the exact same player, it's not his fault that Carlyle refuses to play him with quality line mates.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONi do like grabo, he's just not the same player without Rockin Ronny here.SuperMario wroteCOLONLeaf fans already love Grabo. haha that's more just me hoping as a leafs fan than me using my head. grabo has definitely seemd to have lost that spark. could have something to do with being randomly thrust into a shut down role.
Re: Marcus Foligno + Simon Despres for a C
tell me someone just heard joe bowen say "the leafs will be facing another huge member between the pipes" hahaha

Bozak can walk if he wants more than 3.5 as far as Im concerned and even at 3.5 Id feel he is overpaid, but Id rather keep an asset than lose him for nothing. Sure he looks good this year, but I credit Phil the Thrill for that.
As was already mentioned of course Grabbo is struggling when he is playing with the players who lack offense. Grabbo's offensive creativity has been stifled and he resorts to trying to do too much on his own resulting in turnovers. There was a reason he was awarded the contract he has and if you swapped Bozak and Grabovski's role this season the #s would look vastly different.
Bozak's only redeeming quality is faceoffs and at 53% he is far from the elite. He has won so many because he is routinely given the most icetime and draws out of our Cs. Kadri looked pretty good with Kessel last night and Im sure Grabovski would too. I have heard the Dominic Moore comparison thrown around before and I think it is fitting. He is not a #1 center and would be a good 3rd line C for most teams.

id give bozak 3.5 to 4 anything higher is to much imo
as for Grabo he's lost his confidence, playing without is "jump" and playing with 3rd and 4th liners. he's playing like 12 to 14 minutes a night, what do you think is gonna happened
i hope he re finds his game for playoffs or given more of an opportunity to play with better players

Grabo has twice the talent
Bozak plays with more confidence.
If Grabo can regain his form i'd much rather have him. Last night he looked better with JVR, i think Randy needs to keep those guys together, and keep Lupul with kessel.
