Lol I see Steve is saying what I stayed away from saying. Nick will now try to prove how he is right even though the numbers disagree.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONi'm pretty sure his stats across the board were better with spezza...Nick wroteCOLONI'd wager his points were better with Spezza in the lineup, maybe his FO% as well, but it's unlikely that his FOT, TOI and Stpts remain as high with Jason returning.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONTurris was actually better with Spezza in the lineup
that said i'm gonna be a pussy and stay out of this argument....i very much like both oshie and turris.
i'm not trying to justify you doing or rejecting the deal, i just think a Turris/Spezza combo is pretty deadly, and turris himself is even better without the added pressure of being the top line C, playing against other teams top Dmen.

Re: TBL trade block
I just posted the truth
I had turris all year, and his numbers were far supieror with Spezza in the lineup.
His shtoi, FOW, points, etc...all better with Spezza...
Again, not trying to come between this deal, i'm just pointing out facts.

Also - Nick is claiming Oshie is a "1st line winger" when his stats clearly indicate that he is a BBKL line 2 winger.
This coming from the same guy that called Kunitz not a true line 1 winger this year.

Re: TBL trade block
What numbers? Jason only played like 7 games or something this year.
With their number 1 centre returning who takes a huge portion of their draws, I don't believe it's a reach to say I expect Kyle's FOT to take a hit. Jason is also one of the best power play centre-men in the world, and as such Kyle won't be getting those PP1 draws or associated points.
The all mighty Shiv has decided the two players are of equal value, thats the only point you've made. Forgive me for not being taken back and honoured by your offer.
Although, I would still like you to make me a banner.
TJ averages over 19min a game (2nd on his team)... 15+ even strength (3rd) and 2:29 on powerplay (1st) ... i think it's safe to call him a 1st line winger (26pts in 30(27)gp also supports that statement).

Again
7 games or not, but his numbers were far better with Spezza,,,trust me!
only way to compare real value between the two is to run a h2h compairson...which i haven't done and wont do...i'm not part of this deal and wont be dealing for either guy!

Nick - last time I checked, TOI doesn't win here. You still haven't learned that 1st liners in real life aren't 1st liners in BBKL. In your year 1-2 of BBKL, you valued prospects more than NHLers. In year 3 it was your man crushes. Man crushes still exist now but you value name more than stats still. It will come grasshopperNick wroteCOLONWhat numbers? I definitely don't need lessons from you, hell I'm pretty sure you could still use an MBA that I could be your teacher in. If you'd like a stats major I could help you with that as well. However last I checked we both had 9-1 regular seasons and followed them up with mirrored losses in the first round, neither in position to be telling anyone how to win in the BBKL.

I graduated from the Schulich School of Business my friend, definitely don't need your advice. And in all subjects relating to stats/finance, I definitely will go toe to toe with you/even own you.Nick wroteCOLONSuperMario wroteCOLON

Your statement is asinine but that's okay. You chose to go down the academic route, which I respect. But I don't think you're aware of what I've done/will be doing. So don't get caught with your foot in your mouth.
All that being said though, for a guy that claims to know all this about stats, your bbkl team has 0 accomplishments other than 1 playoff round 1. That is all that matters on these forums.

This amuses me, Im also a finance/stats guy so I'll volunteer to referee your toe to toe. No MBA but a B.Comm in management economics in industry and finance. Refreshing to see people argue with logic and numbers rather than emotions. That 0 accomplishments shot was cold blooded though, dont know history, but injuries and luck play a factor maybe Nick just has shit luck?
As a player for me Oshie > Turris but I havent looked into the peripheral stats to back that up.

Re: TBL trade block
oh forsure
in trade value Oshie > turris, but if i had to pick one over the other (for my team) it would be a toss up, i like both.

Re: TBL trade block
Honestly I think there needs to be at least a 10 year tenure on bbkl before we can start using accomplishments as a sort of bragging rights. There's 30 teams and a ton of excellent GMs.

hahaha nope, not due to luck.Bruyns wroteCOLONThis amuses me, Im also a finance/stats guy so I'll volunteer to referee your toe to toe. year 1 & 2 were build years - proclaimed that when I started and believe they were rather successful. Always noted that I trade for and acquire players I like, not just pure stats.
year 3 I lost to a better team in round 2 of the playoffs.
this year (4) I failed, can point at a bad week but I was beat fairly by a team that out performed me.

You guys can both take a look at the Columbus Blue Jackets if you want a lesson in playoff runs.
