Re: 2013 Entry Draft Discussion.
If you or the CC feels it's not something that can be done on a scale or have varying degrees of a penalty...all I ask is it to be consistent to previous years or at least come up with a similar punishment to previous years. I think when it comes to punishments, nobody likes surprises. I've asked for transparency and open explanations when new rules or punishments are handed out.
Good thing that this week I may finally have 18 guys that will get into games...7 for 7 in Day 1. If I'm going to miss, I hope it's by more than 4 because I'll kick myself for goofing up a few weeks back when I forgot to put Gryba back into my CBS lineup when I could've.
On the topic of the lottery...I guess it was my assumption they drew all 14 lottery slots but I guess all it is just all 14 slots have a shot at going up to #1 and then everyone else is slotted based on order of finish. So barring whatever the GP punishment may be, I'm looking at the 2nd pick at worst based on the lottery results. I'm going to be in a pretty solid position either way. Having #1 only means you have the pick of everyone but if you're in the top 5, you're going to get an impact player.

Re: 2013 Entry Draft Discussion.
We'll have picks 15-26 decided by this weekend. I never looked this up before but I guess I didn't completely know how they determined the draft order for the playoff teams. I knew that the 29th was for the cup runner up and the champ gets 30. 27 and 28 go to the conference finals runners-up with the team with the better record getting 28.
For 15-26, it's the 12 teams eliminated leading up to the conference finals. I originally thought they ranked them by when they were eliminated (the first 8 teams eliminated in the first round were the next 8 picks then the next four out in the second round were slotted after them). They slot the division winners after the non-division winners no matter when they're eliminated. In our case, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh and Minnesota are already slotted as 26, 25 and 24 respectively since they're the division winners with the most points and they were already eliminated. If Toronto and St. Louis advance, Tampa Bay would be the 23rd. For either of the 8-seeds that advanced last week, they could still end up as the 15th and 16th picks if they are eliminated this week even though they won a round.

Re: 2013 Entry Draft Discussion.
yea that's how it works. That's why I have the 25th pick with MIN 1st instead of 29th. It works out well sometimes.

Quick question, what differentiates me having the 10th pick from the 9th pick?

Arian had more goals than you....3rd tiebreaker.

I assume he's wondering why since Buffalo and Edmonton had identical win-loss records.
From the Standings link:
I don't know the exact numbers following the end of the regular season but Arian finished with more, he finishes ahead of him in the standings.TIE BREAKS ARE BASED ON: 1) TOTAL WINS. 2) SEASON MATCHUP. 3) TOTAL GOALS FOR.
Re: 2013 Entry Draft Discussion.
I think Phion believes he has the 10th pick currently and was wondering why he didn't have the 9th. I've heard him talk about drafting 10th on multiple occasions but only today looked to see that in fact he did have the 9th pick.

Got the start of a site to track the selections this year. I'll continue to track the traded picks on the other site.

wow, you know you had a shitty season when you have the same record as a team that was aiming to tank.

My goaltending was way too good this year.Arian wroteCOLONwow, you know you had a shitty season when you have the same record as a team that was aiming to tank.
I didn't expect the leafs to be this good this year.... Gallagher/Bennett and some other of my spects also contributed in screwing up my tank lol.
At least it's proof that my youth can get me close to a playoff spot.
I also had some pretty easy matchups... Versing team without any goalies playing and stuff lol.

Re: 2013 Entry Draft Discussion.
Updated that 1st round page to show the current order (pre-lottery)...I have links to the trades where the pick was most recently acquired from. That page is basically set other than the last 4 spots, the lottery result and GP fines.
I want to get all 7 rounds done and posted before the trade freeze is over. I assume that's after our season ends?
