Florida Block
Well this yr I actually thought I had a slight chance of making the playoffs. Big time bummer of a yr with oodles of injuries and a lot of just bad luck. None the less I have no intention of tanking, but this yrs is a wash. So from here on until the start of next season my goal is to ice a very good team. Not just a team to make the playoffs, but a team who could compete. Despite my team lack of success, there have been some very nice surprises this yr. Gagner, Muzzin, Ward, Bickell have all been fantastic. My goal is to add some top level talent. In no panic to do so, but with the deadline looming, I figure I would put together a good old fashion Florida block. Players are separated into 4 categories. This is where I rank them as of now, things could change.
#1 - Not available
Sam Gagner - Having a great yr, the guy does just about everything well, always loved the guy and really happy that he is finally having a great (constant) yr.
Mika Zibanejad - Getting better every gm in OTT. Will be a great 2nd/3rd line C in the BBKL for years to come. Probably be my # 4 or 5 next yr.
Bryan Bickell - Almost nothing I don't love about this guy. Wish he played a little more aggressive, but he a great 3rd liner
Michael Frolik - His offense has all but dried up, but has become a very good 3rd liner in CHI. Will keep him for my 3rd or 4th line, and hope for some added offense.
Clarke MacArthur - He should/could be in #2 group, but meh I'm a leaf fan, and have really liked his game the as of late...
Chris Kreider - Lots of faith in this kid still. I am still positive he will at the very least be a very good 2nd liner/great 3rd line BBKL type player.
Tuomo Ruutu - Hurt all yr, almost ready to return, but unless he returns before the deadline, and plays well, I can't see anybody giving up what it would take.
Craig Anderson - see Ruttu
# 2 - Available (good players)
Dave Bolland- Really like him, having a off yr, but I get a ton of interest in him all the time. Could be available, simply because I have to many 2nd/3rd line Centers.
Ales Hemsky- Meh same old Hemsky, super talented, but can never seem to emerge into a 1st liner. He is still a very nice 2nd liner in the BBKL. Almost fits into the # 3 catagory, but could be a nice player to package with for some team out there..
Joel Ward - One of my favs in the NHL...His stats/play speak for themselves...Having a great yr.
Keith Aulie - Almost put him in #1..I like this kid a lot, but will listen to what is out there.
Chris Phillips - probably my # 1 most asked about player as of late...Having a hell of a yr. Same as Aulie, will listen, but could easily keep, I sure looks like he has more than a few good yrs left in the tank..
# 3 -Guys who are available, but hold very little value in the BBKL, so I will (and have no problem) most likely keep them.
Brent Burns - playing real good as of late. Could be in #1 or 2, however I have a feeling he fits #3 the best...time will tell
Nik Antropov- Little Nikky started the season like a turtle, but as of late is really playing a good solid game.
Craig Adams - He is now a winger. For his salary he makes a damm good 4th liner. He has a spot on my 4th any day of the week.
Matt D'Agostini - Love the guy, funny as hell down to earth, drank many beers with him, however this yr he sucks sucks. If I see him this offseason he is getting a kick in the ass...Anyway, he has 0 value, probably will keep him for my 4th line duty next yr, and hope he rebounds (hopefully on a new team)
Bobby Sanguinetti - Getting his feet wet, playing some decent hockey. Looks like he has the potential to still improve quite a bit.
Andrej Sekera - just having a terrible yr, bad team, bad luck, bad season. I will likely give him a mulligan, and hope for a better season next yr.
Alexander Sulzer - actually one of the few decent consistant D-man....Then he got hurt for the season...Meh no value now, might have some in the offseason..Either way I like him as my 6th/7th Dman.
# 4 - Available guys who have some value, but most likely won't have a roster spot available next season. Picks, prospects, adding to other players for upgrade type offer welcome.
Michal Handzus - Will get you GP'S, and has great defensive stats. Really good 4th/5th Center
Chris Mason - Decent backup
Kent Huskins - 6/7 depth D man

Re: Florida Block
oh, i wouldn't assume he'd be cheap...if i was interested i'd pay a solid price for Burns, i quite like him.

Re: Florida Block
I'd like Brent Burns please. Will continue to send many offers as per usual for him.
Re: Florida Block

Re: Florida Block
My big guys (Huskins, Handzus) gone....Stop sending offers...
Lots of interest in Brent Burns, some interst in Bolland and Hemsky, a few nibbles on others...Had to work yesterday afternoon, and heading into work now, and tomorrow morning, so may be slow on replies, but get your offers in. I will get back to you asap.

Update...Burns gone
Getting interest in Hemsky. Good chance he's gone. Also interest in Antropov (who is playing well as of late, and he has some decent defensive stats)
