Open 3-Way Opportunity
I want Saku Koivu from Nick.
If you land him, I will send you Kyle Brodziak straight for the 38 year old C - Nick has rejected this offer from me.
If interested, please make offers to Nick for Koivu.
Thanks,
Shiv

Re: Open 3-Way Opportunity
so i overpay for koivu and you give me brodziak?
sounds like a good deal....

likely cheaper to just acquire brodziak from you instead of paying for someone who is hon pay for a career year at 38

I realize it's almost impossible to get a fair deal out of Nick, but as Gretzky would say 'you miss 100% of the shots you don't take!'KapG wroteCOLONso i overpay for koivu and you give me brodziak?

Hey Debbie Downer - I've had 3 GMs show interest. It will happen eventually. This deal makes sense for all potential parties - provided I can find a way to keep everyone happy!hong57 wroteCOLONnot gonna happen... lol

heh, somehow I'm the bad guy...
Re: Open 3-Way Opportunity
I am pretty sure Nick is in win now mode and is not needing youth. SK has been fantastic. Why would he want to trade him for the sake of trading? If he wasnt in a position to win it all this year, maybe, but he is the one with the power. An extreme overpayment would only make something like this happen, imo.

Landeskog + JvR?
Seems about the going rate.

Re: Open 3-Way Opportunity
Nick has a stats piece, I have a value piece that is close but not as good. Perfect opportunity for a building team to capitalize on to bridge the gap by giving nick stats and adding value from me. This is how deals get done Kyle.mr. bruin wroteCOLONI am pretty sure Nick is in win now mode and is not needing youth. SK has been fantastic. Why would he want to trade him for the sake of trading? Re: Open 3-Way Opportunity
Shiv, i appreciate your evaluation but have you not noticed your trading history is with a select 3 or 4 teams on a consistent basis? That is how you see deals getting done and how you like to evaluate them. You clearly have an obsession to trading and would lose interest in this league if you didn't. It actually is a forever keeper league. Everyone has there own strategies and interests. Has Nick proven to you in the past that he would be a party to "getting deals done" for the lone sake of trading? That is where i was going with my post. Nicks team is retarded, you are his direct competition. Deals don't get done that easily between these top teams in the same conference, just like the real NHL. Again, that is why i always harped on your deals with Chuck. I considered him a top team in the Eastern conference, which he is still very close to being, imo. There was no reason for him to be making all those trades with you, his direct competition. You got hit with a string of serious injuries and got let off the hook pretty easy, imo. I am just stating my opinion with no offensive intentions.

Re: Open 3-Way Opportunity
You seem to always make comments on my trading threads about gms and trades. I consistently make deals with MTL, ANA, OTT, VAN, NYR, NYI, WPG, CAR, LAK etc etc. You are crazy if you don't think this deal can get done if the right 3rd partner emerges. You run your team farore conservatively so such a trade block may be completely outside of your thinking, which is fine. But don't knock my methods. I make more trades than you. Get over it lol.mr. bruin wroteCOLONShiv, i appreciate your evaluation but have you not noticed your trading history is with a select 3 or 4 teams on a consistent basis? I am not knocking your methods. I stated that every GM is different in there methods and approaches, did i not? Don't take so much offense. Everyone else trolls the hell out of you and it is fine. I make a post stating my opinion and I am attacking you??? You can slam me all you want, I'm a big boy, I can take it.
