A lot of risk for Dallas/Peter, but he is a GM who was handed cards that required some bold moves. Could pay off? Could have a backup & retiree.
I totally get why Shiv did this, he got more depth and another goaile system (who doesn't have even the majority of one? that's trouble) - good young players, though not super stars. No risk.

Schneider still the best player in the deal, but I wonder if that is still a hefty price to pay on top of the entire SJS system...

Schneider will be worth a lot more in a month IMO.
Main reason I made this deal is that Gerbe and DSP are both waiver exempt.
