hehe. You know he has one nice smile on his face right now....Just like beating up grandma and stealing her bread while leaving a nice coiler on the porch as you walk out. The coiler is Brodeur.

How many times has the Jersey system or any other system for that matter been moved over the first three years of BBKL? If and when I decide to move the system I'll be able to. In the meantime I'm happy to have the system that has the better numbers in the immediate future, and give up the potential and upside of the other system. People seem to miss that I add another solid goalie prospect in Pickard, as well as a solid d man in Carle. Point is this deal makes me a better team now, and my hands are by no means tied from making more deals in the future.

LOL WTF

and ya... this is something Josh shud sit on and learn about, but guys no point keep making astute, generalized (learned this phase from VAN Chris) smart-ass comments about this to make him feel even worse about it..

Last night was the first time I shopped Brodeur lol. I haven't actively tried to move him at all.

Brodeur is a very tradeable asset btw - NJD is one of the BEST teams in the last 2 months of every regular season. He can be moved to many contenders. Josh did well for himself in this deal.

I'll be honest, I though Shiv would be holding this system until Brodeur retired and just trade for the new guy that takes over, likely a UFA, or pay a very, very good forward to convince somebody to take on this aging vet with not much in the pipeline.

But, the Shivster does it again.

Saw this offer out and about. Figured someone would bite. If lucky get a really solid 3/4 of season and a contender loses their starter Down the stretch.

Oh and carle is the #1 5v5 & pp Dman for the bolts, then josh wins.

Well there are GM's like you in the league? Because I'm so dumb getting Pickard from me should be a cakewalk for Scotty Bowman, or you as those are interchangable personas.

No, it's just that through the grapevine, i've heard it's a pain in the ass to get backups off you.

I may not be Scotty Bowman but I'm at least intelligent enough not to trade for a goalie 2 steps away from retirement. Looking at the stats too, Pavelec has been pretty equal to Brodeuer the last couple of seasons, all while playing on a far more terrible team.
