Completely pointless trade for Calgary. When Brodeur retires in a year or 2, all you'll have to show for this it Matt Carle...And it's not like you are competing any time soon.

Ah shit, you are right Lee! Why didn't I think of that!? And with Brodeur's no trade clause I'll never be able to move him either, shucks.

Frazee is solid and will be ready in 2 years to take over the reigns and I'm a big fan of Kinkaid and his upside. This trade could easily be a steal for Josh in a couple years.

Oh and P.S. - Lee get a properly fitting signature....you're killing the continuity here...

NJ system blows; no real NHL upside to Frazee and Wedgewood/Kinkaid aren't close at all ... NJ better trap the heck outta the puck cause MBrodeur is well over the hill. It's doable, but the system will have to prop him up for sure. I still am not a fan though, especially with the upside that Pav has to be a solid goalie whose value will further increase this year.

Again, the no trade clause is gonna be my biggest issue seeing as its impossible for me to trade anymore. Never seen so many up in arms over a trade that could backfire two years down the road. Especially when you trade a goalie on a non-playoff team off one that is coming off a finals appearance haha

My concern with Pavs is as great as he is, he needs a team in front of him. As is WPG's farm is trash, their scouts blow at drafting. That means WPG has to build through free agency and that usually doesnt work out in the long run. Until WPG fixes their organizational problems I feel like Pavs has hit a ceiling (albeit not one of his making)

Lol...Shiv. Simply amazing. After all this time i would be sure you are actually travelling our continent waiting for BBKL members to be alone then jumping in and restraining them to make these deals with threats of violence. when in fact you are mearly sending out massive amounts of offers with the continued hope that one will bite. It never fails that your hard work pays off. Gotta give you credit on your methods. They may be annoying sometimes but in the end very successful. I would have laid money that your way of doing business would be dead by now in an experienced league. I was wrong. Good for you. props

NJ slipped through the cracks to the finals, not nearly a true contender.

So under that reasoning... Price was on MTL, last in the east. Being on a playoff team or not really has nothing to do with the quality of the goalies in this.

I admit I have a strong bias against Brodeur who i think has just been a solid goalie for many years, but no where NEAR the level he's been portrayed to be.

Frazee... lol

It took Shiv of all people months of working the phones to move Brodeur. The guy who does nothing but work the phones to literally every GM.
