i've been at it all summer, i dont understand this years market, the longer we have these players the higher the price goes, especially when teams start having injuries.

It's been a weird few months for trade value.

Maybe once camp is underway and people see they can't expect any GP out of Mike Knuble or whatever other oldballs retiree they've got pencilled in.

ya, i was just going to wait until guys came to me, easier that way, i think (as you suggested) camps will open a lot of doors or close them for other players.

Yes. Hoarding NHLers is a real aspect of NHL GMing that we are trying to mirror... But I also do not believe that either Mike or Steve have been totally un-reasonable in their prices.

i dont really hold players "hostage"

there are a few guys who drive high prices on me, and when i deal with those guys they certainly have higher prices to obtain my depth than other guys, that said, anyone is always tradeable for the right price.
