If Cody Franson gets 3M+ on his contract, I will need to shed some cap (I currently have 2.913M in cap room for him lol). The savings can come from any roster spot though players most likely to move in such a trade include Oshie, Brodziak, Okposo and Franson himself.

It's unlikely that I'll be making such a trade until Franson signs, however, as the amount he signs for will determine which of those players I move as I'm really happy with my team (may be the first time ever). I don't want to partake in roster/cap gymnastics over one possible contract that is 0.5M more than I want it to be.

But if any team has an interest in a deal such as this, PM and we can discuss options. If there is a good fit, other names on my team can potentially be discussed but highly unlikely.

You've got a point there Mike. There certainly is a bit of risk with Franson atm.

ya, anyone usually taking the risk has to give up a pick or prospect, i'd be asking for Franson + 2nd, and i'd even be nice and not make sure put a condition on franson leaving.

i'd do Franson + 3rd for Murray, but the 3rd turns into a 1st if Franson bolts to another hockey league (KHL, SEL, etc..)

I actually hate the real-life player Franson, but his BBKL # are legit. Likely the same way Nonis feels about him.

my opinion anyways. murray is good at only 3 stats, great at them mind you. Franson, was terrible as a Pred and terrible as a Leaf pre Carlyle, I personally wouldn't trade more for him unless I knew he was going to play in Toronto for Carlyle. Just my opinion.
