gosh, lets hope we don't have a lockout


i love the MLB and NFL, but it isn't even close to the NHL

I can't get excited until the new CBA is done...

Baseball in the back stretch, college football, the NFL and European soccer is around the corner...I won't get bored if they don't start on time.

If theres a lockout, most people in the US wont even give a shit because of the nfl. Then you have the NBA which is bigger than the NHL down there as well. Oh, like Shoalzie said, there is college football down there too which ia bigger than the NHL lol

As much as I love hockey, I don't think there has been a more anticipated year for the Lions and Michigan football in quite a while...I'm jacked for the start of the season. The EPL had a thrilling finish to last season...hopefully Man U can finish the job this year. I don't know what to make of the Tigers after this week...1-4 on the road trip so far. They'll be in the mix until the end...it just won't be like last year where they ran away with the division.

The one thing that would suck if this lockout goes too long...if it screws over the Winter Classic. If there isn't NHL, at least there is college hockey. I wonder if they still do the non-NHL events around the Winter Classic including the GLI. They're playing that Comerica Park.

It's built up over of the last couple years but this past year, I'm officially all in on following European soccer. I'm hooked on the EPL...3 weeks until the new season starts and I can't wait for that get going. The UEFA Champions League final was great and the Euro 2012 was a fun tournament to follow. I've liked soccer for a long time but I can't get into the MLS...just doesn't do it for me. Maybe if they ever got a team in Detroit, I might follow it.

The MLS is trash...nothing but boot and run football. Tbh the team I play for could walk all over TFC any day of the week...absolute garbage football they play.

Is there anyway we can encorporate a day/hours/minutes/seconds timer into our website banner? Would be badasss.

That doesn't factor in the lockout when we start late November.

Kinda off-topic: I'd be surprised if TBL doesn't win BBKL championships this season. If they don't, then the GM of TBL should quit hockey.

anyways, I appreciate your praise of my team - but have learned too many times, that it's all about timing. Haven't gone into the final 3 weeks/playoffs with my starting goaltender healthy yet - 3 seasons and 3 starters from 3 different teams in. That continues to happen, and you'll continue to see me with early exits. Too many good teams for bad timing to be overcome.
