Doing what's best.
Doing what's best.
hello all,
I'm going to keep this shorter then most of these messages i've been sending out lately because i dont really know you guys that well. But I need to leave the league as soon as a replacement can be found for my team. i've been dealing with what has turned out to be some pretty serious depression lately and i honestly can barely deal with whats going on in my own life let alone keeping up to date with an online league with as much information as this one tracks.
I was not lying before i really was interested in it all i just, i dont know i lose interest in everything now. as bad as it sounds i'm really nervous now before i start speaking to people, whether its my parents or my best friends, i find it extremely stressful for those few moments before a conversation starts. recently i've been doing everything to avoid it and obviously thats not a good thing for the league at all. Anyways, I dont want to handcuff anyone here, and I really dont want this to look negatively on anyone else in the league. I truly did thing that the league was right for me and I'd been interested in it for years before i joined.
Thanks for allowing me to join and thanks to everyone who tried to help me as well as everyone who had to put up with me.
As for the next owner of the dallas stars I'd be happy to send them the google doc i made and show them how it works and such.
my apologies,
Tunic (Nick... #2 lol)

Best of luck man.
Sounds like your suffering from Anxiety issues, you should speak to your physician if you have not already.
Cheers

Re: Doing what's best.
Hey man, take care of yourself first and yes - see a physician as soon as you can. I have a little experience with this so if you have any questions don't hesitate to PM me ...
Re: Doing what's best.
Sorry to hear you're having troubles, sounds like you're aware of them and ready to deal with it -> talking with your best friends, parents and support group is definitely a must; they'll have your best interest at heart!!! I hope you hang around here and find the humour and friendliness that is actually hidden within this group.
Re: Doing what's best.
wow that sucks Nick (edit: ehm..Nick #2).
Kudos for being open about that, it's also a start to get better.. make sure to talk about it with people who can provide support in real life.
Hopefully you can get out of it sooner rather than later

Re: Doing what's best.
Sorry to hear that Nick, I had the same problem a few years ago, best of luck.
Re: Doing what's best.
I'll echo what others have said here: sorry to hear of your troubles. I'm glad you made this thread instead of having it nag at you. Like Nick suggested, do stick around to chat hockey with us. Who knows, maybe down the line you'll feel up for another go.
Re: Doing what's best.
Obviously I knew about this and now maybe you guys can see why I defended him as far as I did. I promise you he was trying hard and is very in to hockey but sometimes he mind doesnt allow you to. He is like a little brother to me so I will let you guys know if he makes a turn around and I am confident he will come around more once everything is good. Good luck Tunic with that first step you have to take care of.
Re: Doing what's best.
Well I wish you had warned him about some of the over-aggressive, in your face salesman we have in here. But seriously, anxiety is no fun. My wife has it. That is how get to enjoy her ativan on occasion! 1 ativan cuts your beer consumption in half and doubles your buzz. win win.
I hope everything works out for the best bud. I thought you were a very well spoken individual in the conversations we had. Good luck and Happy holidays!

Best of luck to you, bud.
Re: Doing what's best.
Good luck man, maybe there will be a spot for you here in the future.
Take it easy, Cheers.

Best of luck buddy, I know how difficult it can be. Sounds like you're on the right track though. Merry Christmas buddy.
Re: Doing what's best.
Any time you need to chat Nick, bbm me man. Always hear to listen. Life's can get the best of us bro. Keep your chim up.
Re: Doing what's best.
Bah. As someone who has suffered from chronic depression for years, I understand perfectly. I was forced to pull myself out of exams last year and redo them in the summer -- overall I feel better but self-actualization isn't always achievable without being honest with yourself about your needs and most importantly, the base of your worries. I know you'll be fine Tunic. Fire me a message if you ever feel overwhelmed by life or need someone to chat with.
Good luck, buddy!
