I am nervously excited about this one. I unloaded salary with Connolly who i know will have another big year but alot of people dont like his history and everyone seems to think Colborne will be behind a bunch of centers in Boston when i guarantee he will be a winger. Ah well, it is a good deal for both parties involved. Mike now owns almost the entire first round in 2011!!!! He is very excellent and straight to the point guy to deal with, one of the best in the league and i respect that. Good deal!

Your fucking telling me!!!! I spoke with every pick in basically the top 10 and am AMAZED at the values people want. I am only doing this because I am overloaded at centres and centre prospects plus i needed to unload salary. But damn...I agree Scott. I still don't think i hurt my team much.

Ya, for sure.. the loaded teams can afford to overpay but it really sets the market high for the weaker teams lol. Not a bad dela if you are prepared to be patient and have someone you really want!

Heavy price to give up two top 7 picks but Toronto gets a guy that can help right now with Connolly and nobody hoards picks like Mike...he's going to be able to do a lot of nice things going forward with those picks or by moving some picks to get some attractive pieces. You usually see top 5 picks make a pretty good impact right away...depends on who he decides to take with those picks...he might get a quick return on this investment. It's not one of the top 2 picks but they're very attractive picks to have.

yea, I'm not expecting to try very hard. As after top 2, I feel you almost can't go wrong from 3-15. So many variations and opinions on who will go where and none are ever the same.

pretty sure neither me or nick are selling the top 2, so highest you could move up is 3.

and dude you should of talked to me earlier, i would of given you pick 15 for Colbourne straight up

If you ever offered to me Connolly + Colborne + a 1st 2011 for the 7th overall i can assure you i would have been a straight to the point guy as well, lol.

Well I was in a predicament cap wise and with too many C. Nobody had any faith in Connolly and most seemed to think Colborne would be buried behind too many C's in boston. I had to make this move and overpay but I get two good picks in a deep draft while still remaining competitive. It was a good trade for both I feel. I'm happy! Gonna miss Joe though.

but you'll be happy if Joe kicks ass anyways.... i cannot figure out why i have any leafs on my roster... its double betting... and i'm more likely to lose!
