Good on you to get rid of him but giving up Coburn is a tough guy to give up. Carle is solid as long as he plays with Pronger...gotta hope that the Flyers keep that pair together.

Coburn is shit defensively...Have you watched the playoffs lately? Just the other day I was listening to Peter Laviolette on the radio, and he dismissed the rumours that Carle is a byproduct of Pronger on the ice, he said Carle was his second go to defenceman all season, and that throughout his tenure he was the guy, as well as Prongs that he consistently put on the ice in important offensive and defensive situations.

Matt Carle is a tremendous puck mover with growing defensive skills, Braydon Coburn is an overrated defensive defenceman.

thats why we love kareem, i tend to agree with both of you.

I think Coburn has played a great playoffs, i also think Carle has really grown into a great 2-way game.

Carle gets more done there is not question about it...

however Coburn SHOULD get more done then he does.

he is a notably better skater, bigger, harder shot, more composed... yet simply has not put it all together. Not that different from trying to judge JayBo offensively... watching them in a single game you assume its just a game where he didn't get the bounce... but over a season they NEVER seen to get their share of bounces... my only guess is a lack of true/natural hockey IQ.

Well it may be a stupid point in relation to these two but in general, is very true. I was on crackberry and didnt have two clues who had the better numbers between those two.
