Kareem has agreed to abide by rule 7-1.1 in the fullest sense, and will formally help Josh step into the GM role for the Calgary Flames BBKL organization.

Kareem is an original BBKL member who is very active on the trade market (perhaps even a trend setter), and has managed his team to the top spot in the BBKL, he has no currently worrisome infractions with the league, and has not recently acted in the trade advisor role. In addition to the above, he is in a different conference then the new GM, and has been a major voice in the balancing of the BBKL.

We will be attempting to make use of the various managers we have in the BBKL, and cycling through those veteran GMs who are interested in acting in the advisory role.

This is a somewhat condensed situation, as Josh's 2-week trade freeze has already had time ticking off.

We ask Josh to make strong use of this advisor opportunity, it is not meant as a slight against the newGM, but history has repeated itself many times resulting in franchises in trouble - trust these advisors, there is a learning curve in an environment such as the BBKL where EVERY manager is competitive and believes they are god's gift to armchair GMing.


Josh took over on the 12th of November, trade freeze until the 26th, needs Kareem's approval on deals until the 5th of December after roster lock (then team is his entirely), Kareem as a confound free advisor until the 17th of December. Any concerns must be raised by then, as Josh's 5 week review period will be over noon on the 18th.

This is great news for this league. Some GM's may find this a bit harsh, but any new GM that goes through this initiation and guidance period proves the dedication to this league is true. I think if some of our latest GM additions had to follow this rule they would be grateful for it, in hindsight. It is not a slight at all but more of an asset protection tool for the league, franchise and GM. Many props go out to Mik and Nick who basically crafted the exact wording of this entry into our league CBA. Thank you.

Not a fan of Kareem being Josh's trade buddy. Results or not, I can already tell he was acting like a baby earlier about something. I reserve the right to take this to Kareem before I state what it was.

Now onto more pressing matters, I look forward to working with the new Calgary manager, from the talks I have had with him he seems to have a good head on his shoulders, and is very opinionated, which I like.
