Regarding Message Etiquette

I give up.

If you get a proposal via message or MSN, and you stick around to view threads and/or post without having replied to said message, you're an asshole. It's not that hard to write, "Let me think about it" or "No" if you're not interested in the proposal. If you're too busy to respond, you shouldn't have a reason to be viewing the forums while leaving the other manager hanging around waiting for an answer because you were online in the first place.

So to the handful that do this, show some respect for another manager's time instead of ignoring them.

So you're on the phone with your mother all the time, Kyle? I asked around because it seems like this is your modus operandi -- didn't want to assume you were an asshole as there could have been something wrong with your personal life. Not sure why it's so difficult for you to reply to a simple proposal.
I'm wondering what your thoughts are on a Filatov for Caron swap?
Guess I was wrong to expect you to string together a few words in response.

It takes a lot for someone to get into it with Kyle. Impressive.

Not attacking Kyle personally, but seems pretty obvious that he does this ignoring thing frequently. If you're busy, I won't harass someone into responding immediately, but jeez... didn't get an answer for an hour and he's fucking lurking the boards, while talking to his mother. Next thing he's going to tell me is that he was doing all this while balancing on one leg of a chair, on a piece of rope 50 feet in the air.

Yea you asked around so you got your answer i guess. I dont respond to pms in seconds sometimes. I apologize for the 1000th time. I was doing some research on the stupid fuck, talking on the phone, checking football pool, reading posts, smoking, shitting, eating. Have i never not responded to you? You always love drama and causing scenes by taking private stuff into the public forums. give it a rest. Come out and call me an asshole for not responding to a pm in 20 mins? How about you show some respect to your fellow GM's eh? Thats how you roll though, it is obvious now. You've pulled this card too many times now. Why not follow your own words and think the next time you hit submit, if you will be dealing with your apparent frustration properly. Your an awesome guy to have around the forums because you are very active but you have to consider everyone elses personal situations as well and realize that the likelihood of 30 people from various parts of the world are not quite the same as you. That is how you build good relationships. Not by flying off the handle and calling someone an asshole for not responding to a PM in what you deem the acceptable time frame. You send me a PM and call me an ass if you like and i will deal with it, but doing this shit is just childish. I thought you would have learned by now.

I don't even care if people don't respond. I'll just bug them until they do respond. No skin off my back.

Hahaha, THIS.

Although most people are pretty quick at responding, even if it's just a "No", or a "I'm busy, we will chat later".

Must say Florida Chris is probably amongst the best at quick responses. One of the easiest guys to talk to and he doesn't even use MSN.

Kyle, I never gotten into it with you before. I certainly think you're a very easy going guy the few times we've spoken off-topic. However, this isn't the first time you've done this. When I see you lurking the BBKL, seeing that you've read the message, not posting, and doing so for over a hour while I'm waiting for you to reply, I can't help but think perhaps you don't recognize the message that sends. Yes, I'm a student with a lot of downtime. Yes, I procrastinate, watch hockey, study, and generally spend a lot of time on my computer or laptop. Yes, I recognize that you, like many here, don't share my schedule. But what you just did, ignore a message that was sent almost two hours ago, is something you do often with me (and apparently others). Just say, "let me think about it" or something to let me know where you stand before I take off and do something else.

I'm not asking you to quit your fucking job or cut the umbilical cord between you and your mother. Fuck.

You'd think so, but historically that is not the case at all.
