For Dallas. If you have anyone in mind now's the time. Make sure they have the requisite time, skills, and desire.

If necessary, I can manage Dallas team in the interim. I won't make any trades, but it'll give me something to do while I procrastinate. Spreadsheet, setting the line-ups, etc.

Don't we have a waiting list or did we already burn through it?

I don't think another GM should take over responsibilities but why not just have the CC assume duties for now. I assume Bill either quit or was removed.

Safe to say this can be construed as a quit.

He has absolutely disappeared off of the face of the earth. No lie. He was not removed at all. He was super active and we are at a complete loss as to where he may have went and for what circumstances...

Have we asked Dutch Dreams? He is registered on this site after all.

I'm not sure if I'm willing to endorse Dutch Dreams. I don't know him that well to say, "Hey, he's solid," because he does have the tendency to not be coherent when he's trying to express an opinion. Whether that will reflect his ability to manage, I don't know, but I'm not willing to find out right now.

Also, I'm just going to go ahead and start preparing the spread sheet, then set the line-up for the following week. I'll see if I can do it without losing players via waivers.

Maybe something happened with him guys. Is there a rush to fill the position? Isn't he meeting his GP/Cap requirements?

Just looking at the line-up, he's below the curve for meeting GP requirements. I'll check the cap in a bit.

we've emailed, texted, pm-ed, xbox-ed and called. He's been gone since pre-roster submission... it's time to fill the spot IMO. If he comes back and wants in, and the reason is legit obviously we'd make considerations.

Okay, so I just finished checking out Dallas's cap situation.

Currently, Bill is using 6 centres, 6 wingers, 7 defensemen, and two goaltenders. Two are injured: Scott Gomez & Nino Niederreiter, and Reinprecht is in the minors, but his cap situation was kind of murky. With 21 players:

Salary Cap: $64,300,000
Cap Payroll: $46,161,000
Cap Space : $18,139,000

He's below the floor by 2.139M, so I'm going to put down Steven Reinprecht, Joe Colborne, and Sergei Bobrovsky as the extras, bringing his cap space up to:

Salary Cap: $64,300,000
Cap Payroll: $49,011,000
Cap Space : $15,289,000

His current roster has 63 players, and 48 contracts. I'm going to go over it a bit more -- figure out the rest of the contracts, and see who's injured, not injured, waiver exempt, waiver exposed, etc.

Makeshift roster submission for Dallas Stars, who failed to post one. As he has a somewhat up-to-date team page I'll use that as his roster. For extras, he has 6 waiver eligible players in his reserves - I randomly selected 3 to be waived. The 3 who remained are press box guys.

Edit: to get him cap complient we needed to waive another (Zigo) so we could call up Bobrovsky and Colborne.

Tomas Fleischmann ($4.500m) / Scott Gomez ($7.357m) / Nino Niederreiter ($2.795m)
Lee Stempniak ($1.900m) / Cody Hodgson ($1.666m) / Justin Williams ($3.650m)
Matt Beleskey ($0.737m) / Toby Petersen ($0.775m) / Tom Kostopoulos ($0.916m)
Philippe Dupuis ($0.650m) / Brad Staubitz ($0.575m)
ex. Joe Colborne ($1.100m) / Steven Reinprecht ($2.050m)

Willie Mitchell ($3.500m) / Rostislav Klesla ($2.975m)
Mike Mottau ($0.800m) / Jaroslav Spacek ($3.833m)
Jakub Kindl ($0.883m) / Tim Erixon ($1.750m)
Kurt Sauer ($1.750m)

Mike Smith ($2.000m) / Jason Labarbera ($1.250m)
ex. Sergei Bobrovsky ($1.750m)

IR: Jan Mursak ($0.550m)

SALARY CAP: $64,300,000
CAP PAYROLL: $49,714,642
CAP SPACE (24-man roster): $14,585,358

Waiver eligible reserves:
Greg Mauldin
Tim Conboy
John Scott
Mike Zigomanis

I'm not going to list all his reserves for him.

that's what I was thinking Shiv. Bill didn't seem like the type of person to just disappear off the face of the earth like this...

We have waited quite a while. We have also exhausted all mediums of communication.
