You didn't over pay IMO.

yea at first I was up in arms thinking overpayment then I rethought it and smyth is aging with health issues and frolov might be in khl. I thinks its actually close to fair with mash taking all the risk here.

i am certain there was a better deal for hossa out there. i get matts thinking that he got pretty much a free asset in frolov because of the risk he's taken on and if frolov stays he wins the trade. but i think he could have gotten more certainty back in the market.

I think he did the best he could Shiv because he talked to a few people and had a few ideas of what people were offering he got a pretty good return for him.

I really don't know what to make of Hossa right now given his role on the Hawks and that we haven't seen him for a full season in Chicago but you can't really complain about his cap number...length of deal aside.

I didn't know Hossa was on the block haha
