I wouldn't...A healthy Alexandre Burrows can put up 50-60 points with the same peripheries as Kulemin, in addition to big PIMS and SHTOI totals. Not to mention that Burrows has been a consistent H2H producer three years running, Kulemin only broke out last season. There is absolutely no reason Anton should have added to this deal, in fact it should have been Scott adding...

Burrows has also been a big + player the last 4 years because of the team, and line he plays on.

It makes sense for hockey fans, but it doesn't make sense for Leafs fans... WTFq

Nothing in the last three years suggests that is the right call. Kulemin may be the better real life player, but he is hands down the lesser h2h forward. Barring another jump in production, of course.

I like Kules more but Burrows at 2M longterm vs Kules new contract next year makes me wanna lean towards Burrows

I don't think I clearly won at all..

The reason I made this deal is Burrows' linemates and the fact that it took him so many games last year to get going. Burrows really did have a down year, his PIMs and hits were way down and he had 3 points or so in his 1st 10 games. The thing with Kules is I'm unsure if he'll repeat his season.. although I feel it's likely. He's younger then Burrows, he is going to take in more responsibility this season on the PK and PP, and he obviously has the Leafs added value.

I dunno why this is a bad deal for Anton.. if anything, it's as fair as it could be.

The length and quality of production by Burrows over the last three seasons is much greater than Kulemin, so to is Kulemin's earning potential next season. There is absolutely no reason you should have added to this deal. As an isolated move you did not lose "majorly", but you still lost, and these types of deals can add up.
