every year Queensland plays New South Wales in a best of 3 series called State of Origin.
it's all the best guys from the pro league playing for the state in which they first started playing rugby.
anyway, it's played during the regular season of the pro league but any penalties/suspensions handed out DO NOT effect them playing with their club team. so essentially every game turns into a massive punch up at least once.
