If you are going to alberta to fish you might as well travel the extra province to BC and do some salmon fishing. Nothing like west coast salmon fishing. Northern alberta is alright though.

If you are going to alberta to fish you might as well travel the extra province to BC and do some salmon fishing. Nothing like west coast salmon fishing. Northern alberta is alright though.

Thanks for the tips, I may bring my rod but I'm not necessarily going to Alberta to fish. I'd definitely go the extra to BC no doubt. The wife and I are going to Alberta to visit friends and family and figured since we're there we'd drop in and meet Steve and his wife. Should be a good time.

Crab is so damn good. You cant beat a North Atlantic Lobster. Or Atlantic salmon at that....caught in a river on a fly. So damn hard to catch but so rewarding.

If you like fly fishing and want a good river catch, it is all about the steelhead salmon. Nothing compares to it. There are world famous steelhead comps afterall.

how can anyone hate fishing? Even if you actually dislike the fishing part, getting out in a boat or the woods with the boys and getting a power buzz from daybreak till night is a great fucking time. I have friends who actually hate fishing too but always want to come anytime we go because we have such a good fucking time...
