Wow, leaf bias must be blinding me here or something, as I really like this for Scottie, although if Oshie ever becomes the player the league is so sure he'll become then I goes it's fairly even.

Without the Leaf bias, Scott would've never made this trade. He lost way too many stats. But the Leaf goggles will let him flip Grabo and Kules to get the stats back and then some.

^ Yeah, Kulemin is one of those players who should pick up a ton of stats but doesn't for whatever reason.

I actually didn't make the trade for that reason at all. Well, I'm glad I have a few guys to cheer for this season, no doubt but I like the stability Kules and Grabo offer. They are both in positions to succeed being highly counted on in Leaf land. Grabo's PKing a ton more, he's been called Toronto's best PKer by a number of people and Kules, imho has been our best forward for 2 straight years now.. probably even our best player. He hits, PKs, and has shown he can contribute in a top 6 role. I hated trading Kabs for Wideman but Wideman suffered a pretty significant injury last season so who knows.. and in Washington he's probably a 3/4 type Dman with Green and Carlson there. Also, Oshie's super talented and I believe he'll break out but again, big injury concerns there as well. Stoll, well he scored the majority of his goals 5 v 5 and his PP time should drop significantly with Richards there. I doubt he touches 20 goals again.. although he's still a h2h warrior and that shall continue.

All in all, I think I made a safe trade and acquired safer guys. No Leafs goggles here.. just a calculated trade tbch.

I actually think it a good deal for both team. But Pitts got the player with the most potential in Oshie. Nice deal guy's!!!
