dont cringe nick

this was the 3rd best offer, i 100% would have not taken this deal if the other 2 were offered first.

If Chris wants, he can make a profit on schenn, all he has to do is talk to scott.

Oh right. That's assuming Schenn doesn't improve at all. I paid for the upside. Seidenberg doesn't have any upside.

I easily would have paid that for Schenn, but Chris is his own man, no need to defend him.

Well when the season starts and you look at the stat categories, you might think a bit different, but that is just my opinion and not saying that is anything special.

P.S. People love to "comment" on every trade that is made, so get used to it..lol

I think you've underselling Schenn's upside, but that's just me. There are camps that think he's going to be a 200/200 defensive guy with 20 point upside, and there are guys like me who think he's got 35-45 point upside with heavy SHTOI time and some STPTS production down the road. Of course, it helps knowing that as the Leafs improve, so will his +/-.

Seids was one of the players that was a gem on my team. Good pick up LAK ... scales tilted big time tho.

I do agree he has great upside and is a young stud in the making, but I just feel you paid way too much for something that has yet to come. Proven numbers and talent do not lie. You could have gotten him for less. way less.

Steve is a master of talking and deal making. Steve is not the only one either. You will learn about the masters in here quickly. They are the ones who are your best friend and coddle you and tell you how great of a deal you are getting and how smart you are only to be grinning on the other side of the computer. And when you say you dont like it, you are told how stupid you are for not accepting such a great deal for your team. I mean that is the goal of fantasy hockey, right? I give full credit to each and every one of these guys. Scott is the smoothest man on the internet. His 2 championships speak volumes. I will never be able to do what he can do in 1 weeks time over the span of a year or even more.

Nothing personal against you, but you were fresh meat and the boys attacked you hard. The reason the 2 week rule was put in place was to protect you, the franchise and the league. The same thing that happened here happened on multiple occasions prior to the rules being put in place. You were supposed to be assigned a league trade advisor for the 2 weeks, to get you used to the league. Not make as many trades as possible behind closed doors and then have the freeze lifted early or to have your advisors try and get first crack at your players. BTW, i do not blame you one bit in this topic. I am just giving you the heads up of what was being discussed behind closed doors. As head of the CC, rules were not followed and imo, protocol was broken. You fully have the right to veto every single deal you did and start over until your 2 week period is up. I just feel you should know how it was "supposed" to be as a new GM in the league.

Exactly. The guy is a stat machine in this league. Usually top 1-3 in league for blocked shots. PP time, tons of SHTOI, hits....he did em all. I am not just bragging up a Bruin either... ;)
