Lots if interest in both so I want to see what kind of offers I can get. Neither of them are cheap as both are very good up and comers who will become NHL regulars this year. Lets hear your offers.

I like Gragnani, but I've got to be honest I don't see where he fits into the Sabres lineup.
Robyn Regehr - Tyler Myers
Andrej Sekera - Christian Ehrhoff
Shaone Morrison - Jordan Leopold
And remember that Lindy Ruff likes to utilize forwards on the points, I just don't see where Gragnani fits on the defense ES or where he fits into the first or second pp unit. You have to assume that star player Tyler Myers, and Christian Ehrhoff (the Sabres big FA acquisition) will man the points on the top unit. No?

Regehr - Myers
Leopold - Ehrhoff
Sekera - Weber
Morrison
They need to ship out Morrison and then Gragnani gets no7 duties.

Mike is correct with what he wrote I love Gragnani but he can still be sent up and down and Morrison is number 7 just like last season.

No he can't, Granani is no longer eligible to go up and down. Why do you think he wasn't sent back down at the end of BUF playoffs to play in the AHL?

I completely forgot Leopold was a LHS, that changes the bottom pairing for sure. Good recognition.

I wonder if the Sabres will walk away from Gragnani's award in arbitration, or accept it and trade him.

Keep him on as 7, move Morrison.

For a 7th defenceman that isn't the easiest salary to move, the fact that there is only one year remaining certainly helps though.
The reason I think Gragnani is moved is because he can actually return value in a trade.

According to Capgeek the sabres are 3M over, so simply moving Shaone Morrison is not sufficient enough to keep Marc Andre Gragnani in the 7 hole, they would need to make additional cuts, my guess is those cuts involve Gragnani.

No, they have the inside track on Mike Komisarek, remember?
