3rd->13th overall, well actually 10 spots back, in a crap-shot draft isn't that high a price to net one of the up&coming pests/3rd line wingers in the NHL.

To be fair, Rome crushed Horton; Both Alberts and Edler have thrown big hits versus the Bruins and Torres is looking to tag someone. But it's insane how soft the Canucks are compared to the big bad Bruins -> hearing lots of people who never watched them before, be outright shocked by how many of their players don't stand up for themselves, get tough once there is a linesman-involved and just outright diving.

Yea...Big time. Why was the other pick added? Marchand is an all around fantasy stud. He gets every single category. People need to start remembering we are in a fantasy league. I'm sorry Shiv but Mikey wins huge, imo. I think this is an extreme case of the BBKL's. You know, where draft picks of players who have done fuck all yet and have proven nothing are being traded for established players who have shwon they can do it. Add an asterisk on that when they "do it" on nearly every single stat category we use!

There is nothing wrong with building a longer-term pipeline, especially if Shiv believes it's worth the price to get his target. I just think Marchand will continue to grow into that nice piece to have.

I know exactly what you're saying Kyle but only a few take that approach in this league. Hence there being like 5-8 guys who have a chance to win the championship lol
