I wish I knew what this was about.

I've got roughly 30 million centremen and defenceman (combined, of course) that I have to ship out for Wingers.

I do not consider the following to be centres:

Marleau, Ruutu, Adam Hall

but they did play center last year..

well Marleau was a close call.. anyway, if you're right he is not a center there are good chances he will be back to winger before our playoffs.

Nichol had 64 less FOT than Marleau, and played 26 less games. Only reason Marleau is top 4 is because of the injury to Nichol.

Although close, if you look at the 'lines in the sand' he's a centre at each step

a) every player that the previous season was in the top 4 of his (final) team will be a C at the start of our next season.
b) players that had 450 or more FOT with their final team will still be C even if out of the top 4.
c) players out of the top 4 and below the 450 threshold will still be C if their "FOR" is more than 0.3 in the last team they played for.

549 FOT / 1,704:46 toi makes FOR of-> .322

So he's a Centre @ a,b, & c.

A) If Nichol had not got hurt, he would not have played that much centre. Thornton, Couture and Pavelski are all OBVIOUS centres in the top 9, and Nichol is the 4th line centre.

B) See A. Also, Wellwood coming in for Nichols injury shows this too.

C) Again, it should be considered Even Strength ..

only 64% of Marleaus faceoffs were at even strength.

75% of Marleaus ice time was at ES.

So that is one way showing his FOT are primarily special teams, and its more importantly primarily PK.

25% of his faceoffs are taken at SH

Whereas only 10% of his ice time is shorthanded.

Being their #1 PK forward, he takes SO many more faceoffs because he's the best PK forward, followed by Pavelski (a centre).

Marleau plays Centre on the PK, I'll agree with that. But that should not make or break something this critical in this league.

Marleau is a fucking LW ... he only too so many FOs b/c Joe damn Thornton gets kicked out every third time or so.

Marleau is definatley an iffy one.

ye...if the stats agree it can be supported before the position lock, and then again the list changes at ASB. But in this case they've been checked. We won't be having a subjective-based appeal process; either the stats say he's taking draws and for fantasy purposes he's a centre, or stats show hes not taking draws, and as such is a winger.


This effects several teams very much... last year both Little & Giroux were wingers for me, and both are centres now.
