Attention CC/Admin: possible BBKL improvement idea

I have noticed there is somewhat of a gap in organization when it comes to picks. CBS is not the easiest means for adding picks and it seems things get lost and mixed up here and there. I had the idea similar to what Lee has done for the 2011 draft of creating that master spreadsheet for picks. Could we be proactive for 2012 and compose a spread sheet now and designate a Draft Pick List Master (DPLM). Then from then on in addition to posting trades on CBS and on the forum for confirmation; If a draft pick is moved both parties in the trade will PM the DPLM and they can actively adjust the master draft list to reflect the changes. It could be publicly posted as a google document or something where Admin/DPLM can edit, and the entire league can double check their picks through it. I know it might be a little work for the designated DPLM, but I am sure the added ease a security it would ad to BBKL would justify someone taking on this task. It adds a extra step in the process of making our trades, but in the end it will help further organize our league for smoother future growth. I've just been brainstorming and thought this might be a route at least to talk out and see if any improvements to BBKL can come from this. Thanks for hearing out my idea guys.

Bill told me this idea over MSN. I told him to post it because it is a pretty good idea and if people have any other suggestions to improve this tracking, it would really help in the future.

It's a good idea. Somebody has to take the initiative to keep track.
That won't be me.

Me neither. I still think it is a great idea though. Anyone wanna step up? Perhaps the guy who came up with the idea?

I thought cbs was the solution ... I still don't see a problem with it. Am I missing something?

tbh, i think 3* steps to complete each trade is already enough. One more source could also mean more inconsistencies..
Having picks listed on CBS i think should be enough to make it work properly. You would hope for at least one of the two GMs to spot eventual errors when processing the deal on CBS, and once that is done right, we should be fine.
We just need for everyone to keep his trade records straight so that whenever an issue arises that helps figuring it out.
*edit: it's actually 4 already:
-posting the trade on the trade forum
-completing the trade on CBS
-posting the trade on your own sub-forum
-updating roster and picks in your own sub-forum
really..

Yeah it fizzled out because people didn't post traded picks as asked.
Either way, it was only meant to be a showing of where draft picks were at that certain point in time. I don't mind doing that list up a couple of times a season.

we have enough checks in place, and if all of us record our trades and keep our forums update with all transactions that should be more than enough
