I might regret this. I shouldn't make deals after 2 AM. Confirmed.

This is a win for Shiv, but a deal I was going to have to make at some point this off-season. I don't think I was getting Hubs @ 6, price to move up seemed too steep.
the off-season cycle for me is kinda interesting:
Shore + Kreider for Carlson
Carlson for Hodgson + 6th + Kreider
Hodgson for Lubo
Lubo + 6th + McBackup for Goli
-------------------------nets
Shore+McBackup for Goli

iunno shiv. Pretty solid deal all around IMO. If I had to pick a winner I think I might have to side with you for now...
Nice one guys.

Shiv is what we call "a crackhead"

Yeah, Shiv dominated this deal. I have no idea why Nick would unload his 6th on top of Lubo for Goligoski, there had to have been a better offer out there.

Meh, I could have shopped more (as in at all), but I told shiv what my plan was & the offer was exactly what I said I'd be trying to do - when a gm does that I always try and make it work.
Maybe I'm a bigger goli fan then most - but no one seemed to have any interest at all in Lubo & with ovy & weber my upper end cap hits ate used.

yeah sorry guys, I decided to pull the old Scott "omg i just got raped" routine. when nick said thats the offer he was going to send someone, i had t jump on it. Tbh though i think you guys are underselling how valuable this trade is for him. as of now, Nick has the best team for next season.

Na - shooks team has gotten better since coming 2nd - and it's similar in nature to the teams kyle& Scott build in that it'll be strong in every category - mine is somewhat more category focused, and requires young bloods to play well.
I seem to own the over-rated roster category
please don't confuse that with all talk no walk -

Nick, you easily have the best team for next season as it stands right now.. Good value for Shiv here but Goligoski just made your team a lot deeper. Lubo's good but he only scores, Goligoski looked pretty sick in Dallas, he's their 1/1a right now, runs the PP, PKs.. he's an upgrade over Lubo in this league no doubt.

I couldn't even try to cut cap corners to dress Lubo, I thought I made a value trade but the market on him appears to be much smaller then I expected, as such I had to spend as asset (a nice one ->6th overall) in order to get my projected cap figures back in line.
My dmen don't PK and aside from Ovy I don't really have high -as in upper upper- end scoring forwards. Also FOW are down compared to teams like your own, Kyle, Shook and the new kid to the FOW party->Topher.

My FOWs will be low at this point. I only have 3 Cs and potentially Kadri playing center.
Really though at this point, it's a 2 dog race.. Colorado & Tbay. Shiv could make a push too but right now I believe he has another team that relies to heavily on a few cats.

Honestly -> If Vokoun signs on a contender --> Topher's team is beast as well. And I'll never count out Steve's Kings or Kyle's Bruins. Lots of time for you to shuffle back to #1 favourite as well Scottie boi, your right/title until proven otherwise.
edit: Didn't mean to leave out Kareem -> his forward core is solid, and his blueline straight up beasting.

Strong chance Vokoun is going to be re-signing in Florida. They've been having discussions for the past few weeks. He'll help bridge the gap and ease Markstrom in.

Might have lots of time but I'm going with the Knights team this season. When the SCFs are over, I'll be adding another piece. I'll have all starting roster spots ex Knights except one.. hilarious

It makes me want to build an Ex-Greyhound team... however... it wouldn't be that good

No worries, my team really isn't that good tbh. I have superstar core pieces, but a ton of holes on the third and fourth line, and no starting goaltender to speak of.
