Summer Cottage - Need some help

Neel, myself and some friends are planning a cottaging weekend this summer. Being brown we don't have much experience with cottaging haha. I was wondering if the plethora of white people in here might have an idea of a good website/region to check in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Penticton is absolutely amazing and lots of cottage options so the weekly rates are very reasonable. Last 2 summers some class-mates and I have gone up there... Vernon is a better option if you're golfers (where I'm going this year).

Gotta be in Ontario Nick. Any ideas about there? Or a website I could check?

When I was younger I used to cottage on Joseph Island in western ontario - I have no clue about a website for it as my parents and friends parents owned places - but its frigging amazing. Epic fishing, good people and perfect summer weather -> gotta bring the some bug-spray though.
Just a little farther east is Spanish (? iirc) and John Island where i used to go to a summer camp/trekking base... millions of lakes near Spanish and lots of fun islands to hop between it and John Island.

Muskoka was nice when I went a couple of years back, albeit with a ton of mosquito's at night. I also really like Wasaga Beach.

I grew up on St. Joseph Island, and still go often as my parents still live there..lol. I also have a cottage close to Parry Sound. I spend a lot of time at both places and highly recommend either spot..

Unreal the St. Joseph's Island connection. Absolutely gorgeous part of Ontario. I still remember all the deer when driving in and the whitefish & pike in the channel! Good times!!

I've a place up north of Parry Sound. Actually, Fla Chris does as well. I love it up there... North of Muskoka so it's not too yuppie-ey, and prices go way down.
