The Underpaid Trophy is awarded to the player who isn't on an ELC that has the most fantasy value for the salary he makes
Poll will be open for 3 days and you can change your vote as much as you like before the poll closes.
Past Winners:
2010 - Colorado Avalanche - Craig Anderson (Bryshook)

I agree but I just didn't want 3 nominees from my team. I think I could've had Burrows (2m), Dubinsky (1.85m), Brown (3.75m), & Jimmy Howard (717k). I was the underpaid team.

What a stupid list, no Giroux, or Brown...
Also, if Keith Yandle wins, you are all retarded.

Any of the above are worthy imo. Brian Boyle wasn't an offensive dynamo but still had 21 goals on the Rangers 4th line. Huge hits, PK, FOWs, solid BS numbers all for the low price of 525k. Less then half of Yandle's salary, 2+ million less then Backes, 1.7+ less then Callahan, & 1.3+ less then Quick. IMO he was the best bargain last season and not even because he was on my team for some of it. He just was...

How does it matter if a player is on an ELC lol. Underpaid means underpaid. Giroux wins this award hands down.

Because when a player isn't on their ELC it means they've negotiated a contract based on actual pro play. ELC contracts are more about where you were drafted compared to standard contracts that some substance to the term and price signed for. We've had this argument last year and the list would go on and on and on and on if we included all players on ELCs.

Backes and Callahan are superior players, I don't care if they made 2 million more or not, it isn't even close, IMO. Furthermore, Boyle never played on the Rangers 4th line...He started on the third, and was a regular in the top 6 for most of the season due to injury.
Also, I'm pretty sure Yandle is still on his ELC, given that he is only 24, and set to become an RFA this summer. Grabo should replace him in the vote.

I stand corrected, Boyle is essentially the same player as Backes statistically, he is the hands down best bargain.

You are correct, apparently he signed his ELC at the age of 19...Which is odd for a 4th rounder..

Yandle is on a standard contract -->

His ELC was during 2006-2007, 2007-2008 & 2008-2009.

His draft status is what threw me off, I didn't think the Yotes gave an ELC to a 19 year old 4th rounder.
