Depends on your stand point I suppose, and whether or not you believe that Osama Bin Laden is to blame for the 9/11 attacks.

But more critically, there is growing concern that Pakistan's alleged housing of Osama Bin Laden are grounds for strained US and Pakistani relations, and continued turmoil between the West and Islamic nations. What bothers me personally is the blatant ignorance and flat out discriminatory anti-islamic propaganda that is being spewed by American media in light of the news regarding Osama Bin Laden. Most of which perpetuate muslims and the Islamic religion as a whole in a negative light.

And as the saying goes...One man's terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.

It's quite disgusting what some American media outlets throw on TV. They go and interview Muslim and Islamic individuals living in the US and ask them their opinion on the matter. And for what? Them to not give an opinion that they truly believe. They'll be ostracized if they say anything but "God bless America". Cheering one mans death seems retarded to me. Sure, a piece of garbage is dead but the war is far from being over.

Scott you've called him non-important and important in the same thread. Was he a big enough piece that it's felt around the world, most heavily within the Al-Q or is he just a piece of garbage? The 1000's that have died as a result of his ideas don't warrant this attention?

Generalizing extremist to an entire population is comical especially that some of you here know better then to do so. Hating on the americans (or USA as a whole) for lack of knowledge and understanding of Muslim/Islamic people is no different then the belief held by *some* that self sacrifice to kill heathens, or that all Americans deserve to die...and as such is a way into their heaven... My point is that there are extremist on both sides, but the popular trend to dislike UK/USA/Canadian own government is silly, especially when you take full advantage of everything it/they do for you. Things like excellent roads-structure-clealiness-plumbing, upper-end health care and strong education systems plus more opportunity to succeed then anywhere else in the world. Oh and the right to bitch and moan, which from what I see is mostly what is being done.

The leader of a threat to innocent people was identified, his friends and allies (openly or not) tried to defend and hide him, not a big shocker that the strongest army in the world stepped up and eventually got the job done... I give a big props to USA for this, and IMO every american should be proud.

What about the hundreds of thousands of innocent Middle Eastern civilians, including women and children that died at the hands of the US government both in retaliation for the 9/11 attacks, and for OIL? Funny how their is no remorse or sadness over those casualties.

Correction, Jihad is a holy war that can only be waged when a person, or group of people threaten one's practicing of Islam. Not self sacrifice to kill heathens, or a view that all Americans deserve to die, that is media driven.
