It's a joke really...I don't even know what else to say, this is just brutal...I thought the new guy was smart.

I dunno, for whatever reason Bill has been after Gothberg and Mikus for a while now.. and when I landed Brad Malone he was licking his chops. He pursued me with the idea.. I think it's an underrated return for Bill.

This is a joke, or if it's not, I request for a veto/reconsideration of ownership of Dallas by Bill... It's not really much of Bill's fault but the fact that the value of draft picks in this league was probably never mentioned to him.

look at it like this...

Brad Malone is NHL ready today 6'2'' 212lbs. He had solid production in the USHL with monster PIMS and once he got to North Dakota his stats multiplied big time every season Fresh-3pts Soph-17pts Jr-25pts and Sr-40pts. He did all that offensive growth without loosing his edge either he kept his PIMS up and they were fueled by roughings and big hits not small fry hooks and trips. He will step into the Avs 3rd line easy next season and physically be able to hold his own on the NHL level. Many people in this up coming draft will have skills but are far from physically able to handle the rigors of playing a full NHL season against bigger competition from CHL.

Juraj Mikus yet another NHL ready body 6'4'' 210lbs physically he is not far from Erik Johnson who is touted with some of the highest potential for a NHL dman. Though Juaj has had to transition to the KHL which have slowed his offensive potential we know that tough is naturally in his game. Playing at a 1ppg pace in the Q as a 17 year old import thats special, as well as, in the Slovak pro league play at nearly a 2ppg pace. He has the body to hammer which he isn't afraid to do but has the desire to move the puck and get involved in the offense. These qualities make for one hell of a prospect in my book so many good player would have been great if they had the god given assets Juraj has.

Zane Gothberg sleeper of 2010...when everyone thinks 2010 and american goalie Jack Campbell comes to mind which is what shadowed Zane. He came around in the era where Campbell is the goalie america has decided to become it's next savior so he has gotten the nod for all major event in their age group. Zane has gotten shafted by this fact and then the team going for an older more experienced goalie to back up Jack. He just loses the numbers game nothing else. Look at his USHL numbers putting up a .91 save% and in MN HS he had a .93 save% which was one of the top for his year in MN HS. He is a sleeper I'll admit that but once he get his shot he will bring as much hype as Jack Campbell has around him.

I know some of these players are risk but I have my logic...lets just see how it plays out in a year or so and you can talk to me then

After reading explanations and seeing Scott's other post that the pick is available i don't think this is a joke. I will hold my absolute displeasure until it is confirmed this is real or not. I hope for the sake of BBKL integrity, it is a joke.

I usually don't voice my opinions very often, if this is a April fools day joke, then kudos to you guys. If not then I have to say this should go to trade counsel....Mentors should not be able to trade with there students until after the probation period is over...Mabey that time has passed, Im not sure...Also Dallas Gm just so you know you should of shopped that pick, as you could of gotten a very solid NHL'er or a way better group of prospects then what you received.
