Really like this deal for Topher, Ov is a superstar, and IMO the best player in hockey, but you don't win with one player. The deal makes sense for Nick because he has the depth to support OV, but now Toph has a very formidable core to build around.
I'm not gonna lie, with the recent emergence of: Edmonton, Buffalo and Chicago I am more excited about the future of this league. Hopefully more teams follow suit and abandon the rebuild approach.

Abandoning the rebuild approach is a great idea if you have something to build around
With that said, great pickup, Topher. one of the greatest pick ups for Nick. Great deal all around.

Very smart move for Nick.
Understandable why Buffalo had to make this move, and they're all great great contributors in a team. Monster sized periphs coming along Buffalo's way too.

buf should be up there in the east next year (if he continues along this path).
seems like this parity thing is almost sorting itself out.

It's improving, but the powerhouses are still all in one conference, and the same thing happened last year if you recall, but as time wore on each good (not great team) sold off to the highest bidder.
