yup... another year gone.

No fucking reason at all to give that much value on B.Schenn right now... this gets dumb when top teams sell because they don't think they can win it all, now 1 guy is clearly separate from the pack.

Bad move for Shep, worse move for the league.

Regardless of what anybody says, I have ZERO chance of making it to the finals, let alone win this thing. My retardedly easy schedule to start the year has my team look very deceivingly competitive.

I had a stretch (no disrespect to these teams) where I went winless against: MIN, PIT, LAK, EDM, SJS, ANA, NSH in 7 straight weeks.

That is NOT a team ready to come anywhere near a championship. Regardless of what anybody says, Schenn is going to be a great H2H contributor and is as close to a sure thing as you can get in a prospect. If something fails offensively for him in his NHL future he'll be a great bottom 6er. The Kings have enough depth that they can ease him in, and without a true #2 centre (Stoll/Handzus), he could in there as early as next season.

There are 5 teams in this league that have 250 MORE POINTS THAN ME. I'm barely top 15. In a league that rewards offence most, periphs 2nd, I am not anywhere close to competing.

Hartnell >= Downie ignoring salaries, and yes, I would trade Sharp for Schenn, Dupuis, 2nd ..

My team is overrated, and this is a chance to re-think and move forward.

For the record, if this trade was made with Steve, nobody would say shit. But because it's Scott, everybody is up in arms.

Man up, make a move, and stop bitching.

It's getting pretty stupid, I don't know what Scott tells people because we have never made a deal of any significance, but something is severely wrong when the same thing happens over and over, and the response from the second party is always the same. I.E. "I didn't have a chance to win anyways, and if it weren't Scott people wouldn't be complaining"...

1. You don't have a chance to win because the collective stupidity of this league has resulted in a mass amount of lopsided trades, such as this one.

2. People continually complain about Scott's deals because they are typically one sided, despite this trend each manager seems to think they are the exception to the rule, and can win a trade with Scott, or buy into his win tomorrow propaganda, which more often than not is non existent.

3. If you can't win now, guess what.. Trading top assets to the richest team is going to make your life just as difficult tomorrow.

That said, I give Scott all the credit in the world for being able to manipulate so many people, it is a talent. The rest of you (excluding a handful of people) don't even deserve to be handling a team in this league. It's amazing to me how large of a gap there is between the best teams and the rest, and I'm not referring to their asset pool...

I will never understand that reasoning, if anyone but you wins you should be pissed off. Whether it is Scott, Nick or Kyle, it doesn't matter. It's unfortunate more people don't have that same pride or vigor to win. Instead everyone seems more content to rebuild.

Also you are an idiot.

Don't you dare categorize me in that group...You idiots contributed to this, not me. I've only once made a deal with Scott, and it involved Milan Jurcina and some middle round draft picks, and that was in the first few months of this league.

I'd be interested to join a league with you, one where the average quality of each manager is greater. I could be wrong, but I have a theory that you are only as good as the weakest link in the league.
