Red Wings Spank Bruins

The game isn't even over yet, but the score is 6-1 which signifies the Red Wings largest margin of victory all season. It hasn't even been close since puck drop, the Red Wings are the real deal, but the Bruins are in desperate need of a few pieces to contend, namely a puck moving defenceman, and an extra top 6 goal scorer.

or they are playing after a seriously emotional game... they are for-sure contenders. I do agree they need a puck-mover though.

Is my humor really that lost on you?
Kyle makes a thread about the Leafs every time something negative happens, this is clearly in response to that...

Its a Leafs board and the only things that happen are negative, so what do you expect. Sadly i did not get to watch this game as my fucking PVR was full and recorded the anthem and thats it. Seems like they were steam rolled. Detroit is the real deal. I dont mind them losing a few anyway to keep them honest. The years they went into playoffs as the top team they always sucked out. I want them to face adversity so i have no problems at all with a good old spanking. I still dont consider this a cup contending team. They may be a potential deep playoff team with some additions but thats about it. I expect to see a few big additions to this roster come deadline.
Wings got smoked last night by Nashville so they were hungry and the B's were just coming down off that high against the Habs. It is real nice of you Kareem to talk some Bruins with me. It gets lonely being a fan of a good team with no one to talk to in here. I enjoy your peeked interest lately and look forward to more Bruins threads where we can discus how full the cupboard is and how exciting it is to watch them win some and lose some on the way to the playoffs. You really are a true fan. Its nice to see for a change...

YEA. I am so pissed i missed this. Love to have seen this game. Any team that beat down the Pens is fantastic by me. Its just too bad Cooke wasn't available to get his.

I think I was more excited then Shiv when Datsyuk returned. That was why I traded for the Detroit keepers. When they are healthy, they are probably the best team in the league. I traded for the goalies on a low and when they had 5-6 regulars out of the line-up! Loving their game right now.

Yea, as a B's fan it sucks to see them worked over but in a way it was a blessing in disguise. It should show the management that this team does not have what it takes to go against teams like Detroit. Missing some key pieces. Maybe these two games will help in deciding who to target come deadline time. Detroit, when healthy, still one of the best teams in the league, and its debatable...

Boston dominated the first period, and was superior below the dots, but they really struggled to finish their chances. Krejci in particular tried to get way too cute with his passes rather than shooting, Marchand (again) stood out to me as the best Bruins player, love his board work, forecheck and play below the dots. That said, this team could really use a puck moving defenceman, and mobility on that back end. Get that and I don't think this team is that far off. Remember, you only have to face the Wing's if they can make it out of the West.

I was quite pleased with this weekend's happenings for the winged-wheel. The Bruins are a better team in my view but it was great to see the Wings (still shorthanded) put 10 goals up on one of the best defensive teams in the league. My concern was about preserving the lead in the Central and keeping hold of the #2 spot because I think Vancouver is going to pull away with the top seed. I think the Wings when they get Filppula and Stuart back should be a much better defensive team but Howard still worries me. Love the chemistry that has developed with the Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Franzen line and the return of Datsyuk has been a shot in the arm as well.
