MSN vs PMs
MSN vs PMs
Since I do most of my trading at work (because I'm a terrible employee) I prefer to use PMs as it's easier for me - especially to close the page quickly when I need to. Who on these boards should I just not bother with? I already have Anton and Kyle on the list - anyone else?
Re: MSN vs PMs
I always answer because I hate when people don't.

Re: MSN vs PMs
I am blocked from MSN at work and always answer my pm's. This week i was in training away from work on the road so i was a bit slow. I apologize Tony for the Letestu, question but i can't stand when someone pm's me with a question like what will be the asking price for Letestu? If you want to make an offer go ahead and i would appreciate it, but why should i do the research for your interest? It would be different if the question was i am interested in acquiring said player and before i send you an offer i would like to first understand if A, you are willing to move him and B, what are your specific needs.
When i finally did get around to answering my PM two days later it was when Letestu was hurt and i read your post with the laughing smiley and the FU at the bottom so....yea...guess there is no need to reply to that one

Re: MSN vs PMs
I ask for the asking price or a couple of names you are interested in because it makes it easier for both of us Why bother offering players you have no interest in?
Re: MSN vs PMs
To each is own i guess. I like getting offers cause with that initial offer you can determine if the gm is serious or not. Like when you get an offer from Shiv you can determine right away that it is almost pointless to go further...Some people like the back and forth 10 times while starting at nothing. I like starting right where a fair deal should. Scott doesnt mess around with his offers. I like that. Personal preference i guess. I figure that almost every GM in this league is experienced enough to know that there wont be any more fast ones pulled. So why not return the respect to your fellow GM and if your going to make an offer look in the mirror and say would i accept this trade offer if it was sent to me, before making your next offer. I imagine a lot of those bad offers will cease to exist. (most, not all )
Re: MSN vs PMs
Yup, I've always liked our talks because neither of us BS around with each other.
Re: MSN vs PMs
I wouldn't be so opposed to making offers right off the bat if people didn't take an offer that they didn't feel was up to their standards as far as player valuation so personally. Seriously.. some people act like you just hate fucked their mother to death and set the corpse on fire because you made what you felt was a solid offer.
Then again, I have no shame in admitting that I've made intentionally bad offers to people because of how upset they get over such trivial things.

Re: MSN vs PMs
Thank you, Kyle. Maybe I've had too many dealings with Shiv.
Re: MSN vs PMs
would it make you feel better if i responded to your PM now tony?
i dont like to be a part of lists unless its the top 10 good looking guys of BBKL...
note: that list would never exist as its difficult enough to find 10 good looking guys period in this uggo league.
jk jk
what was this post about again?

Re: MSN vs PMs
I know exactly what you mean man.. I always get the generic "what would it take" pm's followed by the "take a look at my team and let me know" responses to my usual "a lot" or "more then you'd pay" replies lol. I know when someone's serious about making a deal when they send an offer. I'll give Nick credit.. he usually sends an offer when interested in a player or two of mine. Steve's good too, he'll just put something out there. Mike doesn't fuck around.. Anton makes "offers" lol. Pretty much everyone else pussy-foots or is just afraid to/never trades with me. My favourite though is someone like Neel or Shep... they'll inquire or I'll inquire about a player.. I'll make an offer and usually be turned down but they're interested. They usually end up saying "give me a few, I'll put something together".. but it pretty much never happens! oh, and Mik is the low-ball king of the world!! Hands down!!mr. bruin wroteCOLONTo each is own i guess. I like getting offers cause with that initial offer you can determine if the gm is serious or not. I guess what I'm saying is.. fucking under gets you know where.. making legit offers right off the hop peeks peoples interest and leads to further talks. This should be common sense but for whatever reason.. it isn't.
