tactical error by paul here. from what i understand chuck and mike bid this bitch up to retardedness. paul waited too long, chuck pulled out, deal with mike got worse - worse than what chuck was offering before it got too expensive for him.

so why make the deal at all? if you're not getting what you want for a star player then why trade?
i had some pretty serious offers on kopitar but not the deal i wanted. so you hang onto that player.
