1) I need to compete for win
2) Eriksson can help me tons now

3) Kuznetsov is sick and upcoming
4) Parise out this year = doesn't help me win

This trade is humorous given the conversation that Shiv and I had earlier today.

I'm with Shiv, Kuz will never make much of an NHLer...


If Parise was healthy I'd like this deal for cliffy, however too many unknowns IMO to add a blue chip prospect (even with KHL and typical russian risks) on top of a young all-star who is really producing well, again.

Really like this deal for Shiv.. Parise could be the same player he once was when he comes back but most historically have shown, when missing an entire season due to injury, more times then not they are not that same player. But hopefully it works out for both clubs here..

lol what kareem is referring to is a conversation where i asked him what he thought of kuznetsov then told him hes an idiot.

i asked a couple of other gms as well but i also did a lot of research on kuznetsov before i made this trade. i think he has a legitimate shot at making a run for rookie of the year the minute he enters the nhl. the kid is the real deal. to get him on top of eriksson is a steal imo.

kuz ....he might be good ..but the reason why i tradeed him because he is a russian player... like all russians they have a good season or two then the diasppear... OVI is doing it right now and hes not your typaical russian imo... look at kvoy right now too .... dont get me wrong i love love the skill of the russians its unreal but i dont want players like that on my team...
to give up eriksonn for parise sucks but its the price you gotta pay to get a player like zac....
at the start of the season everyone was thinking he could be a top 5 scorer in the league
imo parise is a player who you bluild around... i realize his cap hit is going to be 6 to 8 mill for the next few of years but im okay with that as i have the space

im not gonig to win the league this yr or next but why not put players into place for the future and zac is one who i wanted

LOL shiv. Calder talk is not warranted, who knows when he comes over. Next year will be headlined by Brayden schenn,on top o larsson , probably krieder, and of course the 4 surprise guys. Kuz would not make an NHL team next year. Let alone the scoring loaded caps.


So what homework suggests Calder?

I really like Kuz, but Kulikov is better, always has been. He's had a slow start to his career, but he is still so young, that kid has Andrei Markov written all over him.

This make me laugh so hard since few hours after he trade Kuz the Future Calder Winner.

I rather have Parise then Eriksson and Kuz but if your trying to win now the I rather Pittsburgh side since Eriksson and the Dallas are hot this year.

In the last 5 games Louie scored 0 - 6 A while shooting 11 shots and + 3 rating but no PK and doesn't get alot of PIM or block shots.

Either way he's averaging more then 1 ppg wich is very good for shev.

I hate hearing "Dallas is hot".

I said before the season that Dallas would contend for the division title, it'll all depend on the health of Lehtonen. He's been healthy, they've been winning.
