Hey guys i was thinking about developing an app for iphones and bla kberies to make these forums easier and include stats and standings. Im going to start it during christmas break if anyone has any coding background and wants to help out let me know gents!

They don't but i emailed their tech and asked for a script to run their live score box in an html environment via javascript that way i can just use that.

you are a genius mash. i have no idea about any of this stuff.

Idea:

Create a SQL Database with form to enter all players in

info includes:
player name
player NHL Team
player BBKL Team
Player position
player salary

using that database we can assign players to each BBKL team which we can then auto-config team pages to help keep everyone orgainzed with their rosters and cap. This will also allow the league to have a uniform look.

Also make it so it auto - archives all the trades so we dont have to keep editing that trade page lol.

Create a seperate homepage (linked from fourms) where you can view all team pages along with search for any player by any of the categories. This will help reduce the need to re add your salary after every move, or edit your spreadsheet every time because it will do it for you with a new drag / drop trading type application. Its a big change and a lot of work but I figure if I start it now with the help of some others in the league I could have this database / application / homepage up and running for the offseason before the draft.

Still in the idea stage now, if anyone has any suggestions or any background with SQL or PhP let me know!

To me its important to always be improving the BBKL Community so we can become bigger and stronger every season!

I was attempting to do something similar to this with my other keeper... And then gave up when I realized that I didn't want to learn PHP. Or SQL.

I can help with entering in the players, but I have no background in programming, other than dropping out of my Gr. 11 computer programming course. Fucking Java...

not sure how good of an idea that is, I may try and get 6 of the more experienced gms help out and get them to take on a division each or so. Still quite a way away we still have to create database lol. take things slow is our plan make sure we do it right and have it ready for off-season.
