Week 7 - The Main Event

Boston Bruins Vs New Jersey Devils
The Boston Bruins and the New Jersey Devils are built upon two very conflicting philosophies.
Kyle comes from the Warren Buffet School of value investing, making very few but calculated moves that solidify his team drastically over time. Players like Zetterberg, Getzlaf, Seabrook, Kesler and Callahan have become Bruins in BBKL and have not been shopped, let alone moved, ever again.
Scott's allegiance is to the nothing-is-untouchable-as-long-as-my-team-is-better doctrine, where multiple trades are made every week, adding value inch-by-inch with every trade. This past week saw Scott’s magic in action as the Devils added superstars Toews and Neal to further the belief that haunts fans in Pittsburgh and Washington alike: The Devils are favourites to repeat as BBKL Champions.
To beat the Devils this week, the Bruins will need Tim Thomas to be on his game. The former Vezina winner is once again making a bid for the Trophy and will be an X-factor to Kyle winning this match-up. Conversely, the Devils look to dominate the skater categories to take over the week, but it won’t be easy. The Bruins are one of the few teams in the league capable of out-producing the Devils in periphery statistics.
The Boston Bruins are vying for revenge for being eliminated by the Devils in the BBKL Eastern Conference Finals last season. The Devils are looking to improve their 29-0-2 unbeaten streak.
Week 7. This is the main event.

Speak for your own fans, the fans in Washington are more than comfortable with the current group heading into the playoffs...
Back on topic, Scott is going to kill Kyle, the Bruins are far too reliant on goaltending. Once that aspect diminshes, and it will they are very beatable, the Devils are stronger in more categories, and less prone to loss when the eventual cold spells strike.
My prediction: 9-5-2

Can Kyle be the giant killer?
I'm pretty sure most of the league is hoping he can.. Lets wait and see.

No Offense to Scott, Don't care who beats him, it won't be me unless we meet in the finals because of scheduling.

I hope scott gets his winning streak snapped by kareem. I don't think anyone would gloat more about victory than Kareem, it would be really really entertaining.

True.. but after a week of it we'd all want to kill Kareem.. well you know more so.
I can foresee Kareem creating like 100 threads and filling every single subfourm (those are the expectations at a minimum if you do win now Kareem).

Chris Kelly not taking Faceoffs now. Not good. I see Neuvirth is hurt but Varlomov should be back. I lost Demers and Wilson didnt play. I would love a tie against your team Scott. Your big guys didnt do much last night. (dubi, carter, green, etc) Should be real close.

The number threw me off...that's Dustin Brown for Scott, right?
The Devils are close to unbeatable...and that was before he got Neal and Toews...but it would be nice to see a team at least give him a scare. I'm not rooting against you Scott but I just want to see some competition for the top spot. Boston has the obvious edge in goal but Rask starts the week with a loss and Scott avoids any damage from the 5-0 loss at the hands of the Devils due to Holtby getting the start in goal. I think the x-factor of this matchup will be the surging Jarome Iginla.
