Good Deal going both ways. I'm surprised you moved Ladd too, but good return.

quite surprising deal, considering how Kareem seemed to like Holland, and Billy Ladd.

You have to give to get, plus me and Billy have really good trade talks with one another. If I ever give up an untouchable asset it's usually to him or Nick.

i just dont get why you traded ladd when he fits in perfectly with your youth movement and is killing it in ATL versus knuble who has maybe 1 more year in him after this one and steckel who is a role player. holland is nice but hes a supplementary piece here. ladd was awesome on your team imo.

Selling Ladd @ a high, buying Knuble after a slow start, and getting a high-end prospect who should be ready sometime next year... hmmm... these all look like good steps IMO. Steckle is a nice FOW/hits/SHTOI guy, definitely doesn't hurt to dress.
Kareem gets the best current player & a prospect who he likes. But he's very much in win-now mode, and will deal with his prospect depth in the off-season.
Not everyone sells the future for right now like yourself Shiv, following some prospects is part of the fun in a keeper league, we understand that selling it all and winning now works or at least makes you more competitive but having players improve while your 'gm-ing' them is perhaps the funnest portion of the league for me, watching them and seeing the guys who's games are changing. Obv I'd like to win as well, but not at the cost of my development system.

This deal gives me depth, and The periphs Steckel and Knuble bring in are big.
Dealing from a place of strength to fill a weakness and dont worry Shiv, in the words of Brian Burke. "Its Bigger Than This"

You have obviously never seen Peter Holland...He was an untouchable asset for a reason, dude will be a fucking star, and when he is I will trade for him again, but at a higher cost. Billy also got some nice periph guys, very even deal IF Ladd proves to be a legit 60ish point threat, he is only 24 after all.

Pretty much this...I will do what it ever it takes to win, prospects be damned, I can worry about that later.
