it happens when the deal agreed on msn is not the same one posted
(a healthy player is different from an injured player)

its your fault for agreeing to a deal without researching all the details. that is not the other party's duty to tell you. you agreed. and that agreement should have been honoured.

no
if Mik checked and found out new details that's a perfect reason to back out before confirmation. Seriously guys...
I've never backed out once i've said post it... but I've had it happen to me, and its not worth bitching about... I know some people operate on the push/rush/time-limit technique, he's always interesting to hear why they need a decision right now. But the deal is not done until its been posted and confirmed here on the BBKL. There is no agreement before that stage.
edit: I played a joke on someone once.

Yea some people like to use the rush, come on lets post it method. I dont roll that way. If someone starts doing that i just stop talking to them or back out of negotiations all together. Some people can make rash quick trades in this league like it is a 1 year Yahoo league. I can't. I am pretty sure the pushy negotiators know who they are.

Lol who cares if he backed out before posting?
Boo hoo.
CBS and Posting is what makes it official in this league.

i love how you guys are trivializing talking out a deal on msn. every gm has the right to refuse any trade. but saying "post it" on msn is something that should be honoured. you obviously have the right to back out only technically but once yyou ask for something to be posted, backing out = bitching out.

Did you see the deal? If it was the one I saw than Mik was getting a huge haul for Backstrom.
Who cares..

MSN is foreplay, BBKL is insertion, CBS is blowing your load

dude, i already explained to you on msn.
I agreed on a deal with a healthy Galiardi into it. That is the deal i agreed on. Billy posted a deal with a broken Galiardi. I didn't confirm the deal with a broken Galiardi (significantly different from the one i agreed on).
To go into unnecessary details:
i just got up this morning (CET) when Billy came back to me on msn.. i had yet to know anything about the NHL night.. despite i was asking him to wait till this evening cause i wanted to find another deal before completing ours, he wanted to complete it straight away, saying he probably would not be around tomorrow and the next day.. he was pressing me and in the meantime i had been able to check about 2 of the guys involved.. at that time i said, whatever, ok, post it, while going to check about the other 2 guys.. how likely was it to found out a serious injury happened to one of them without Billy knowing/notifying me about it?
Next thing that happens: the deal is posted and i read Galiardi has a broken wrist.
A very unfortunate situation.
At that point, i just asked to fix the situation, finding a replacement in our deal, or still taking Galiardi if able to swap him with a healthy player i liked from another GM: being currently shorthanded at wing and having just traded my first pick 2011 i wanted to get immediate contribution, whereas other deeper teams could afford waiting for Galiardi while recalling another player from the farm.
But once we couldn't find an immediate agreement on the sub for Galiardi, Billy was really annoyed and that was it for him.
The guy i asked him as replacement is slightly less valuable imo (he thinks otherwise i guess), so it's not like i was/am backing out from the value i agreed on..

i liked Galiardi (healthy) slightly better than Ladd tbh. But then again, i never said it's that or nothing.. i just wanted to find a replacement i like enough.
