You know I need to stop falling in love with my prospects when it takes me 3 days to think over a deal like this.

Yeah...can't be married to them. I'm in the same boat as you...trying to accumulate young talent but when a young player like Voracek becomes available, you have to be willing to move some of those pieces. So instead of waiting for (and hoping) those prospects pan out, you get a guy that is in the league and is producing. Nobody is going to win this league with a team full of rookies and border-line AHLers...you need some established talent and you did well in adding two guys that should help you moving forward.
From Anton's perspective...he gets his own 1st round pick back so he's in full control of that pick plus he adds two solid prospects.

Nice solid deall here.. and Lee, a piece of advice to add to the "not falling in love" with your prospects. You cannot fall in love with ANYONE in fantasy hockey. Check my team from last year and this years team. 3 returning players? LOL
Anyway, good deal.. Voracek has the ability to be a real good all around player in the NHL.

Nick, you've got a talented young team...I'm sure probably one of the youngest teams in the league. You've got established young players...you're kind of the best of both worlds. If you're going to have star players...if they're younger, they've got the chance to get better as they mature and you'll have the opportunity to keep them on your roster for a long time. You'd be in really good shape if the Anaheim goaltending/team defense wasn't so awful in the early going.
You'll run into the eventual issue of these young guys getting big raises so someone is probably going to have to move on but you've got other younger guys in the system to backfill any guys you'd have jettison because of cap problems. You're one of the teams that have done it right. You don't appear to have to do a lot of turning over the roster from year-to-year because most of your top players are younger and aren't quite making the big bucks with exceptions of Richards and Phaneuf.
