This new setup has killed post activity

Even if we could just get the NEW POSTs to be stay up for a day rather than like 3 hours. But really we need the 5 most current subjects to stay up on the front page. Waaayyyyy better.

It’s true we used to get like 3-4 pages per game week. Nobody comes to the boards anymore . Place feels absolutely dead. It doesn’t make me feel comfortable going forward which then makes me extremely sad because this is one of the few things I enjoy doing in my spare time haha

After a while, you have to adjust to what's different about the forum. It's not like I moved the topics around. If you want to see trade blocks, you should know where to find those. The general discussion is still in the same place.

I'm not the biggest fan of the change but every once in a while the software that hosts this forum needs to be updated. Every single GM has been on the forum in the last week. I would rather see guys pop in every once in a while even if they aren't posting.

We're still in October, I don't know what to talk about right now because I've basically needed a break after the amount of activity right before the season. The month of September is usually chaos around here as teams gear up for roster submission.

Hope you’re right Shoalzie!! As long as everyone’s checking in that’s a good thing and shows people are active behind the scenes.

Idk this place was just popping once upon a time. I guess to be fair people have gotten older and there’s children and other things taking up time these days.

In the end, this is a hobby for most of us. I love doing this but I know that my energy and my free time isn't what it was when I first joined. How many years has this gone on and there's still quite a few of us that have been here since the first season.

Bottom line, I still love watching hockey, I love statistics and this is still fun to me. You just have to ride the wave of activity or inactivity.

yeah you need to make an effort to see if someone posted something... instead of getting used to it, it only gets old pretty fast for me

The fact is it has absolutely killed posting. So yes those extra steps do effect many people. Posting a trade block immediately disapears.
